Rural teachers are the backbone of basic education in China.As the largest number of primary and secondary school teachers,the professional development of rural teachers has become an endogenous driving force to improve the quality of rural education.However,due to the comprehensive constraints of the level of economic development,institutional defects,geographical environment and other factors,the ability and level of rural teachers have been hovering at a lower level for a long time,which has become the short board and weak link of basic education reform.Teachers are the key to the development of rural education.The development of rural education in China calls for the professional development of rural teachers.Because of the insufficiency of rural teachers’ main body ability and external development resources,it is difficult to rely on individual strength to develop the space of professional development in the process of their professional development,and it is also difficult to rely on diversified training to expand the channels of individual development.Therefore,drawing lessons from the community theory and building a regional teacher’s research platform can provide a good help for the professional development of rural teachers.Regional research community drives the flow of regional educational resources through the interaction and cooperation among teachers,breaks the border,establishes a multi-level and multi-form system of research activities in rural schools,promotes the transformation of schools from a relatively closed state to an open regional cooperation mode,realizes the mutual development among rural schools,and gradually narrows the gap between schools.This paper reviews the relevant studies of scholars at home and abroad,focusing on the analysis of the reasonable elements of the regional research community and the ideal value of its construction.By means of participatory observation,questionnaires and on-site interviews,this paper makes an in-depth investigation on the regional research activities of rural schools in Xiying Town,Jinan City,and demonstrates the status quo of the cross-regional joint research in the establishment of research topics,the composition of researchers,the organizational forms and types of activities in the research process,the operation process and the research results.It also finds out the problems existing in the participation of teachers,the content,the process and the guarantee mechanism of regional research in rural schools.The construction of regional rural teachers’ community is a complex systematic project.In order to ensure the scientific and orderly development of regional research activities,the constructionof rural teachers’ regional research community should follow the principles of multi-linkage,multi-themes,multi-level pairing,multi-dimensional evaluation and on-demand training.Starting from the actual situation of rural schools,and taking advantage of the superior resources of rural schools and adapting measures to local conditions,this paper puts forward strategies for the construction of regional research and development community in the aspects of cultural construction,personnel organization,activity design,system support and so on.
