Shuhui Zhou put forward the idea of combining "mathematics" and "literature" as early as the 1990 s,but this idea has been ignored for many years.With the continuous popularization and promotion of picture books,the mathematical value of picture books has been recognized by people,which provides the possibility for carrying out mathematical teaching activities in kindergartens with picture books.At present,some front-line teachers have started to use picture books to carry out mathematical teaching activities in kindergartens.But there are still many problems to be solved in the process of activities,and there are few studies on mathematical teaching activities in kindergartens based on picture books.In view of this,this paper mainly analyzes the problems and causes existing in the current mathematics teaching activities with picture books in kindergartens,and puts forward effective strategies,hoping to provide some reference and inspiration for front-line teachers.This research mainly adopts the literature method,interview method and case analysis method,and interviews the teachers of two public kindergartens and one private kindergarten in a city in order to have a preliminary understanding of the application of picture books in mathematics teaching activities in kindergarten.Taking A kindergarten as the key object of observation,through the analysis of the kindergarten mathematics teaching activities with picture books carried out by teachers,deeply insighted the problems existing in the application of the mathematics teaching activities with picture books in kindergartens and propose the corresponding strategies.This paper mainly includes three parts:The first part mainly defines the concept of picture books and mathematics teaching activities in kindergarten,and discusses the unique value of picture books in mathematics teaching activities in kindergarten.In the second part expounds the problems existing in the mathematics teaching activities in kindergarten and analyzes the reasons.The problems mainly include the teachers' understanding of picture books and kindergarten's mathematics teaching is shallow,the teachers' choice of picture books is not reasonable,the methods of the picture books used in kindergarten mathematics teaching is deviating,the evaluation of the picture books used in kindergarten mathematics teaching is reasonable.The third part is based on the above study and put forward corresponding strategies,including,improving teachers' understanding of picture books and kindergarten's mathematics teaching level,choosing the right picture books used in kindergarten mathematics teaching activities,choosing the right picture books in kindergarten mathematicsthe teaching activities based on picture books,improving the scientific nature of the kindergarten mathematics teaching evaluation.This study explores the unique value of using picture books to carry out mathematical teaching activities in kindergartens,enriches relevant theories of mathematical teaching in kindergartens,and provides practical reference and inspiration for front-line teachers to carry out mathematical teaching activities in kindergartens based on picture books.
