Curriculum standards updated over the years,It has been advocated to renew the concept of education,promote the reform of examination and evaluation system,and improve the quality of basic education in China.The relationship of teaching,learning and evaluation is established,and evaluation becomes an organic part embedded in the process of teaching and learning.It can be seen that the reform of evaluation is the inevitable trend of the new curriculum reform.Compared with the traditional paper-and-pencil test,the performance evaluation originated from the United States can reflect the core quality of the students and fill the defects of the traditional evaluation.Expressive evaluation tries to build a real or simulated life situation to observe students’ ability to deal with problems.It pays more attention to students’ emotional attitudes and values,and advocates more diversity in evaluation methods.Performance evaluation measures not only the students’ current knowledge level,but also what they can do.It can not only evaluate the results of students’ behavior performance,but also evaluate the process of students’ behavior performance.In this respect,it is difficult to compare traditional paper-and-pencil test with performance evaluation.This series of characteristics of performance evaluation and the current advocated "activity-oriented course" ideological and political course,for the cultivation of students’ political identity,scientific spirit,consciousness of the rule of law,public participation has important practical significance.
