Problem solving is the core of mathematics teaching.It is the top priority of mathematics teaching to cultivate students' problem solving ability.Cultivating students' creative thinking and practical ability is the core contents of the new curriculum reform,and innovation comes from problem solving.As a featuring mean of divergence thinking,mind map can help students solve problems and cultivate their problem-solving skills.This paper is to apply the mind map to the teaching about mathematics problem solving in high school.The purpose is to explore the influence of the application of mind map in problem solving on students.At first,the author uses literature research method to collect the relevant material to understand the research status about mind map and problem solving.Then the author expounds the basic viewpoints of constructivism theory,information processing theory and humanism theory and their revelation for this study.Based on the theoretical research,the author selects two classes with no significant difference in the results of the test before the experiment as experimental class and control class,and conducts mathematics problem-solving teaching experiment based on mind mapping in two classes.In the experimental class,the teaching mode of using mind map to solve mathematics problems is adopted,and the control class adopts the regular teaching mode.After the experiment,this research uses the questionnaire method,the interview method and the comparative analysis of the test results before and after the experiment to explore the influence of the mind map on the problem solving.The author puts forward some suggestions according to the experimental situation: teachers should pay attention to the subjective status of students and strive to students' active participating in the teaching;teachers should play the leading role correctly,the users of the mind map should obey the appropriate principles when using mind map;after the students use the mind map to solve the problems,the teacher should evaluate the answers timely;teachers should encourage students to summarize and rethink their answers timely and so on.Finally,the author analyzes the experiment and concludes that it is feasible and effective to use mind mapping in solving mathematics problems.The conclusion of the experiment mainly includes the following aspects: 1 ? Applying mind map tomathematics problem solving can help students construct the knowledge system,which can provide the premise for problem solving.2 ? It can develop students' hands-on ability.3?It is helpful to cultivate students' divergent thinking and creative thinking.4?It is beneficial to the improvement of teachers' teaching.5?It is beneficial to the improvement of students' ability of solving problems.
