With the fast development of economy and transportation in Tibet,more and more Tibetan college students are studying in inland provinces.But the growth and studying environment that Tibetan students live are quite different from that the mainland students live,so it is difficult for them to adapt environment of studying,life and psychology when they study at a cross-cultural environment,especially studying,such as the learning motivation is not strong,the attitude of learning is not correct,the progress of the study cannot keep up,and the academic performance is poor.Therefore,improving the studying adaptability of Tibetan college students in inland provinces is not only the need to promote their integration into the mainland campus life,but also the need to improve their mental health.Also,it is conducive to the management of Tibetan college students.In this dissertation,we employ literature research,in-depth interviews and questionnaires to understand the basic situation of Tibetan students' studying adaptation from five dimensions,studying attitude,studying capability,studying motivation,environmental factors and teaching mode,to analyze the studying adaptation problems of them and to obtain the reasons.On the basis of this,we employ the group work method,through the establishment of goals,planning,motivating,improving methods,making good use of methods and improving self-confidence,etc.,to put right their studying attitude and to stimulate their motivation,so that they can master effective studying methods and have a good capability to adapt to environment and teaching models.Through post-testing,the results of the group work were evaluated by comparing the situation of the Tibetan students who participated in the group activities and those did not participate,and also comparing the situation of them before and after the activities.What's more,process reflection and evaluation and satisfaction assessment were conducted during the group activities.The results show that the studying adaptability of Tibetan college students in J university has improved in all five dimensions as mentioned above,especially studying attitude and adaptability of teaching mode.Therefore,we concluded that the group work is effective in improving the studying adaptability of minority college students in J university.We expect to explore the universe laws that are generally applicable to minority students in colleges around the country in the future.
