The purpose of this study is to investigate the personality traits,emotional regulation self-efficacy and school adaptation of junior middle school students and to understand the overall characteristics and demographic differences of these elements.Based on these differences,this study further explore the relationship between the personality traits,the emotional regulation self-efficacy and school adaptation among junior middle school students.In this study,1200 junior middle school students were selected as the subjects to participate in the study by convenient sampling method.Eysenck Personality Questionnaire,Emotional Regulation Self-efficacy Questionnaire and School Adaptation Questionnaire were used.The personality traits,emotional regulation self-efficacy and school adaptation of junior middle school students were tested by independent sample t test or one-way ANOVA.The correlation between personality traits,emotional regulation self-efficacy and school adaptation of junior middle school students was analyzed by correlation analysis.After controlling the relevant variables,we explored the relationship among personality traits,self-efficacy of emotional regulation and school adaptation of junior middle school students by using hierarchical regression method.After research,it is found thatThe personality traits of junior high school students belong to the intermediate type in the latitudes of extroversion,psychoticism and emotional stability.Emotional regulation self-efficacy and school adaptability are at the medium levelThe total scores of introversion and extroversion,fear regulation(FEA),depression and pain regulation(DES)and emotional self-efficacy of junior middle school boys are higher than those of girls,while the scores of concealment tendency and routine adaptation of girls are higher than those of boys;the scores of psychoticism and emotional stability of students in the second grade of middle school are higher than those in the third grade of junior middle school;the scores of introversion and extroversion,depression and pain regulation,emotional self-efficacy,teacher-student relationship,routine adaptation and school adaptation of students in the third grade of junior middle are higher than those in the second grade.The total scores of peer relationship,routine adaptation and school adaptation in the first grade are higher than those of the second grade.The scores of emotional stability dimensions of urban junior high school students are higher than those of rural junior middle school students,while the dimension of OES,POS and total scores of rural junior middle school students are higher than those of urban junior middle school students.The total scores of emotions,attitudes and school adaptation of non-only-child are higher than those of only-child.There are correlations among personality traits,self-efficacy of emotional regulation and school adaptation of junior middle school students.Personality traits and emotional regulation self-efficacy of junior middle school students have a common impact on their school adaptation.Among them,compared with the two factors,the one that has greater influence on the school adaptation of junior middle school students is the self-efficacy of emotional regulation.The mental quality,emotional stability and disguised tendencies of personality traits are low,while the self-efficacy of emotional regulation and the level of school adaptation is high.
