Electromagnetism is one of the core contents of physics curriculum in senior high school, and it has a prominent position in the structure of physics knowledge.Peer instruction is a cooperative teaching method that organizes students to discuss conceptual tests designed to reveal wrong concepts and guide students to in-depth exploration in large class teaching, and to obtain timely discussion results through feedback system.Peer instruction has positive effects in promoting concept understanding, cultivating interest in learning, improving academic performance, and improving problem solving ability. Therefore, the research problem of this paper is to apply the peer instruction to the teaching of high school physics electromagnetism,in order to promote students' understanding of the concept of electromagnetism. In this paper, peer instruction is applied to the teaching of high school physics electromagnetism. Two classes of the second grade of a key high school are taken as the research object.Peer instruction is used to design and practice the teaching. After the practice, the concept tests are discussed. The correct rate changes are used to analyze the students' learning effects.Through questionnaires, students'satisfaction with peer instruction and participation in the classroom are investigated.Interviews and evaluations of peers' instruction are conducted through interviews. Finally, the influence of peer instruction is implemented. This paper is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction part, expounding the reason and preparation of the topic from three aspects:the background of the topic, the research questions, and significance, the research ideas and the methods. The second part is the literature review part. After studying the relevant literature, comb the application of peer instruction in high school physics electromagnetism and guide further teaching practice. The third part is the construction part of peer instruction process. The implementation process of peer instruction is constructed. The teaching process is explained from two aspects:concept tests and feedback methods. The fourth part is the practice research part, including the teaching practice program, the teaching activity organization and the teaching case study part. The design, practice and evaluation of the electric field strength "electromotive force" teaching case are carried out.The fifth part is the effect analysis part, which analyzes the teaching effect from the questionnaire, the correct test rate after the discussion of the concept tests, and the teacher-student interview dimension. The sixth part is the conclusion part, which is elaborated from three aspects:research conclusions, teaching suggestions, deficiencies and prospects. The conclusions of this paper are as follows:First, peer instruction improves students'participation in class effectively;secondly, peer instruction has certain effect in promoting students' concept understanding, and students with moderate and difficult levels of learning help more;thirdly, peer instruction narrows the learning gap between students to a certain extent;fourth, peer instruction has certain help for the cultivation of students' cooperative awareness and communication skills.
