As an interactive teaching mode based on conceptual analysis,peer instruction has changed the "infusion" teaching into cooperative learning and autonomous inquiry in the context of multiple interactions.After long-term research and experiments,its effectiveness has been fully confirmed.It has unique advantages in mobilizing classroom participation,deepening concept understanding,promoting the application of knowledge,and developing practical ability as well.Peer instruction accords with the basic requirements of the new curriculum reform.This thesis tries to apply peer instruction to the course "Introduction to Tourism" in secondary vocational schools.Going through related literatures,research findings and trends of peer instruction are sorted out.And the connotation,implementation process,test design and feedback forms of peer instruction are summarized as well.Questionnaires were collected to diagnose the problems in the teaching of "Introduction to Tourism" in secondary vocational schools.In terms of feasibility analysis,it was carried out from the aspects of application requirements and implementation conditions.Based on peer instruction,the thesis designs two modes of classes for learning and reviewing.At the same time,one control class and two experimental classes were selected for comparative experimental research.After classroom observing,the characteristics of learning and teaching behaviors under peer instruction are summarized.Through the cognitive level test,the influence of peer instruction on students’ knowledge mastery is tested.Questionnaires and interviews are conducted to investigate satisfaction of teachers and students on peer instruction.At length,after analyzing the effectiveness of teaching implementation,it is found that peer instruction can stimulate the interest and internal motivation of learning;deepen the understanding of concepts,accelerate the transformation and application of knowledge;enhance professional skills and expand comprehensive capabilities;promote the interaction between classroom interaction and activate classroom atmosphere.The thesis enumerates the problems existing in teaching practice and proposes optimization suggestions such as adhering to the principle of heterogeneous grouping,strengthening discussion guidance,and making good use of explanation strategies...
