As an important carrier of history course content,history textbooks have always been paid close attention to by educators from various countries.In the educational system of our country,textbooks are irreplaceable,so they are especially important.As the saying goes,by other's faults,wise men can correct their own.At present,there is a deep research on the history textbooks of the United States,Britain and other developed countries,which has obtained some references and inspirations.In recent years,China has begun to pay attention to the history education of Singapore,an emerging developed country.However,there is still a lack of research on Singapore's history education in China.This paper selects four junior middle school world history textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education of Singapore,namely Unit 1 European Dominance and Expansion in Southeast Asia in the late 19 th century by Hodder Education,Unit 2 The World in Crisis by Pearson Education South Asia Pte Ltd,Unit 3 Bi-Polarity and the Cold War by Pearson Education South Asia Pte Ltd,Unit4 Decolonisation and Emergence of Nation States by Hodder Education severs as a research sample,intends to conduct a detailed study on the structural form and content system of world history textbooks for junior middle school in Singapore.In the first part of the text,the current education system,history curriculum,history syllabus,textbook system and four world history textbooks are briefly introduced.The second part analyzes the structural form of world history textbooks,and makes a detailed exploration from three aspects: the overall structure,the text system and the text auxiliary system.The third part is the specific analysis of the world history textbook content system,and the content analysis of the "Cold War" this important historical event.The fourth part analyzes the characteristics of the compilation of world history textbooks for junior middle school students in Singapore,attaching importance to the concept of history,the cultivation of students' historical thinking ability and practical ability,and the guidance of learning methods.
