The overburdening problem of elementary and secondary school students not only hinders the implementation of quality education in China, but also affects the physical and mental health of our students.Although the relevant education departments have promulgated the “burden reduction” policy, this problem still exists, hindering the development of our basic education. The overburdening problem of elementary and secondary school students is a problem with the characteristics of the times.Different era has different problems in the schoolwork burden. With the popularization of education, parents pay more attention to the compulsory education, participating in children's learning process frequently.Parents' understanding of children's growth will directly determine the educational behavior they will take.Scholars have little research on the specific impact of parental beliefs on the child's growth. Therefore, the author studies the schoolwork burden of students from the parental beliefs on the child's growth. The methods of study include questionnaire survey, text analysis and interview.the study has the sample survey of three primary schools in Q City and use the SPSS25.0 for descriptive statistics, analysis of variance and chi-square test. The statistical analysis data shows that in terms of the standard of achievement, parents favor both ability and political integrity, but there are still the talent standard of “education only”,lacking the cultivation of children's innovative spirit and practical ability;in terms of the motivation, there are multiple tendencies coexisting. When we pay attention to the realization of children's self-worth,we should also serve the motherland and society;the rational understanding of the ways of becoming a talented person.Parents think that children should rely on their own efforts to become talents but they exaggerate the role of high education for talents and also have too much emphasis on the study of book knowledge, resulting in neglecting the important role of hands-on practical ability for talents;in terms of factors for affecting talents, parents think that the factors of themselves and family can better influence children's talents, but they exaggerate the impact of academic performance and parents' cultural level on their children's success. In addition, the survey found that the current school students' burden of schoolwork is heavier.Participating in extracurricular tutoring classes, extra homework assignments and extracurricular tutoring are more common.About 70% of students' sleep time and outdoor activities do not meet the national standards. The objective work's burden is heavier;in terms of the subjective schoolwork burden, many students have learning pressure, learning fatigue and the tired feelings of learning. Moreover, there are significant differences between students with different academic performances, and the burden of the undergraduate students is the heaviest.Based on the interview results and the survey results, the author selects several representative questions from the parents' talents to carry out the chi-square test to further explore the relationship between the two.According to statistical analysis data and interview results, there are correlations between some factors of parental talents and some factors of pupils' schoolwork burden.Parents' unreasonable talents will bring excessive academic burden to primary school students.Subjective schoolwork burden is mainly reflected in learning pressure, learning fatigue and school-weariness.The objective course burden is mainly reflected in the frequency of extracurricular tutoring, extra homework frequency and sleep time.Based on the interview results and statistical analysis results, this study continues to analyze the impact of parents' talents on the academic burden of primary school students, and analyzes both positive and negative impacts. Finally, the author puts forward targeted strategies to the relevant education departments, schools, families and off-campus counseling institutions in the above analysis, hoping to form a social, school and family education triad force, jointly change the irrationality of parents' concept of becoming talented, and let family education help the primary school students for the “burden reduction” work.
