Compulsory education stage student schoolwork burden is a big "problem" ofquality-oriented education. Aiming at this problem, in July2010, the national mediumand long-term education reform and development plan outline (2010-2020),"clearly putforward to set up a monitoring system for primary and middle school studentsschoolwork burden. Since then, many governments responded to an appeal by thecountry, into the student schoolwork burden monitoring system construction. This studyaims to understand the student schoolwork burden monitoring system constructionpresent situation and existing problems, and put forward the correspondingrecommendations in view of the problem.With literature method, combing the literature of the student schoolwork burden ofChina’s current monitoring system, this study established the student schoolwork burdenmonitoring system function, theoretical foundation and basic content.Using the methodof text analysis analyzed student schoolwork burden monitoring system texts of Shan’xiprovince, Shandong province, Chengdu, Chongqing Yuzhong district and HarbinSongbei district.The study found that the construction of the student schoolwork burden monitoringsystem in China is still in the "bud", only a handful of areas formulation andimplementation of a monitoring system for the student schoolwork burden. Most areasjust stop on the oral form of announced. At the same time, the student schoolworkburden of monitoring system has a series of problems. Problems existing in the studentschoolwork burden monitoring system are: first, efforts to implement the studentschoolwork burden monitoring system is weak; second, schoolwork burden monitoringsystem of students and their detection index is not comprehensive; third, the studentschoolwork burden monitoring system lack innovation and there are copying mode;fourth, inspecting content of students schoolwork burden monitoring system does nothave the operability; fifth, students schoolwork burden monitoring system of publicityis not in place. The corresponding suggestions:first,strengthen student schoolwork burden monitoring implementation efforts; second, improve the student schoolworkburden monitoring system, complete the student schoolwork burden detection content;third, encourage innovation system construction, showing local characteristics; fourth,refine student schoolwork burden test contents, make it operable; fifth, increase thestudent schoolwork burden monitoring work of publicity.
