Reading is a way for preschool children to acquire knowledge.Through the process of reading,children can master the knowledge in five fields.As an important children's book,picture books have been widely valued by researchers,and the teaching function of children in picture books is constantly being affirmed.Because the picture book is supplemented by the main text of the picture,the picture book becomes the most acceptable reading material for young children.However,whether all the picture books are suitable for children to read,how to choose the appropriate picture book for children?This issue deserves attention and research.This study takes Xi'an A Kindergarten as an example,and uses the text analysis and interview methods to study the selection of A kindergarten teachers' picture books.Firstly,the researcher made detailed statistics on the 96 picture books in the A kindergarten picture book.The statistics included the author of the picture book,the nationality of the author,the theme of the picture book,and the field of activity designed.Secondly,the researcher summarized the reasons and basis of the selection of 96 picture books,and analyzed the current status of the selection of picture books by A kindergarten teachers.The main reasons are:using guidance documents as the basis for selection,based on the experience of young children,and Interest is the basis for selection,the selection of children's ability as the basis for selection,the basis for the development of young children,and the choice of living things.And then,it analyzes the current situation of teacher's picture book selection,and summarizes the advantages and limitations of A kindergarten teachers'choice of picture book.The advantages are four.Respectively,the theme of picture book selection is rich,the content of picture book selection is profound,the value orientation of picture book selection is the comprehensive development of children,and the channel of picture book selection is diverse.The limitations also include four points.Which in turn is the teacher's confusion about the connection between the picture book and the activity,teachers pay less attention to traditional culture,and teachers have less exploration of picture book reading methods,the picture book reading activity lacks the theme construction.Finally,frorm the three levels of picture books,children and teachers,the reasons for the selection of picture books by A kindergarten teachers are analyzed.According to the limitations of A kindergarten teacher's picture book selection,four suggestions for the teacher's selection of the picture book are proposed by the researcher,including teachers should clearly understand the educational value of the picture book,teachers should pay more attention to the traditional culture theme picture books,and teachers should choose a picture book with a novel form and choose a picture book form the perspective of theme construction.
