21st century-the development of science,technology,engineering,and mathematics has a growing impact on our lives.STEM education,which is dominated by these four disciplines,has set off a craze in the education sector and has received extraordinary public attention.But STEM education is not only a patchwork of science,technology,engineering,mathematics,it focuses on the personal operation of experiments,problem-based learning of a cross-disciplinary application-oriented approach,aimed at training with science,technology,engineering,mathematics and other comprehensive literacy of the compound talent.Through combing the research on STEM education at home and abroad,the author finds that the research of STEM education abroad has achieved fruitful results both in theoretical research and practical research.And the domestic STEM education started late,although in view of the role of STEM education in promoting educational innovation and leading educational reform,since STEM education entered our country,whether it is theoretical research,or first-line practice,each school segment has also begun to try to explore STEM education.However,there are still few studies on STEM education activities in preschool at the present stage,so it is very important to study how to carry out STEM education activities in kindergarten under the new situation.Based on this,this study selected a public kindergarten in Xi'an,Shaanxi province as a case kindergarten to carry out research,through the analysis of its STEM education activities to carry out the current situation,explore suitable for China's kindergartens to carry out STEM education activities effective ways to enrich STEM education in the pre-school education stage of practical research.First of all,the author combs The goal orientation,design and implementation path of STEM education activities in kindergarten,and analyzes the specific path of STEM education activities in case kindergartens by the interview method:the teachers who carry out STEM education activities focus on STEM education from the beginning to the enthusiasm into the activities,The STEM education activities are distinguished from the traditional activities of kindergartens,and the role of learners,supporters,collaborators,guides and observers in the activities is recognized,and the management of the case Kindergarten Park is strongly supported,which provides material,time and space guarantee for the development of STEM education activities.;The expectations and support of parents have also further promoted the development of STEM education activities.Secondly,through observation method and interview method,this paper combs the changes of cases in STEM education activities:young children form the love of STEM,their STEM accomplishment improves,explore the growth of sexual behavior,sociality,solve the real problem ability is also obvious development;Teachers form a scientific view of children,the attention to STEM is increased.The role conversion in the activity is more flexible;The case kindergarten's STEM education activities have received strono support from parents,enhanced home ties and won awards for their activities.At the same time,some problems in the development of STEM education activities in case kindergartens were found in the study:first,there was insufficient linkage between the regional activities and STEM education activities,and second,the teachers themselves had insufficient experience in STEM-related knowledge and educational activities;third,the scope of activities was limited.Finally,the following suggestions are put forward for the development of STEM education activities in kindergartens:first.to pay attention to the relationship between regional and STEM education activities;second,teachers to increase the focus on STEM related knowledge,educational activities,in practice to enhance STEM education capacity;third,out of kindergarten,Strengthening the link between STEM education activities and families;and,iv.,attaching importance to the support role of Kindergarten park management for activities.In addition,two thoughts are put forward on the development of STEM education activities:Kindergartens can try to carry out mixed-age STEM education activities and apply the harvest of STEM education activities to more activities.
