The current STEM education has attracted much attention,and the "China STEM Education 2029 Innovation Action Plan" launched by the China Institute of Education Science explicitly mentions: to build a STEM teaching ecological system suitable for China's localization,so as to train and export a large number of high-level innovative talents and skilled talents for the country.STEM education is an organic integration of four disciplines: Science,Technology,Engineering and Mathematics.It emphasizes the integration and application of interdisciplinary knowledge and solves problems based on real situations through the process of project making.STEM education embodies the concept of practice and innovation in quality education,it is an effective exploration and attempt of multidisciplinary integration teaching,which will become a trend of education in the new era.In our country,subject-based teaching is implemented in senior high schools,so the links between various subjects are not close and students have few opportunities to practice.Therefore,carrying out scientific education activities under STEM concept in high school has a certain positive effect: it is not only helpful to cultivate students' ability to use interdisciplinary knowledge to solve problems,to increase students' practical opportunities,to cultivate students' innovative consciousness,but also to promote the development of STEM education localization in our country.On the basis of this,this paper takes the exploration and practice of scientific activities in senior high school under the STEM education concept as the direction of research work,and finds the compatibility between STEM education and project-based learning,which makes it clear that the project-based learning mode is adopted to carry out scientific activities under the STEM concept;by analyzing thecase of project-based learning under the STEM education concept,the author puts forward the design principles to be followed in carrying out scientific education activities;on the basis of sorting out and analyzing the STEM education and teaching mode,the author puts forward the design principles to be followed in carrying out scientific education activities in this paper.On the basis of formative evaluation and summative evaluation,this paper puts forward the evaluation methods used to carry out scientific education activitiesBased on the above research,the author took the scientific knowledge of "magnetoelectricity" as the core,developed the case of scientific activities "magnetoelectricity generator design and production " under the STEM education concept,and implemented and evaluated it.In the stage of teaching design,the author elaborates the planning before the implementation of the case in detail from the three parts of curriculum content,curriculum learning objectives and teaching design,and guides the implementation of the case on this basis.Before the implementation,the author discussed the feasibility of the case through the investigation of the generator model making ability of the senior one students,and prepared the generator model made by the students in the testing implementation stage through the self-made hand generator model.In the implementation stage,the author guided the students to complete the design and production of the generator;guided the students to explore the factors that affect the induction current generated by the generator from the perspective of science,technology,engineering and mathematics,and cultivated students' spirit of scientific exploration and the comprehensiveness of thinking problems;led students to make the generator model into a wind turbine with their own characteristics,and cultivated students' practical ability and innovation ability.After the implementation of the case,the author analyzed the teaching effect of this case from three dimensions: knowledge mastery,skill exercise and attitude towards the STEM course by means of questionnaire,and interviewed the two open interview to further understand the shortcomings in the implementation of the case and how to better carry out the STEM course.By summarizing the implementation of the case,the author further verified the advantages of STEM teaching mode,which caneffectively cultivate students' ability to use interdisciplinary knowledge to solve problems,and improve students' practical ability and innovation ability.The implementation of the activity case "design and production of magnetoelectric generator" is not only an effective verification of the teaching mode proposed in this paper,but also enriches the practical research of localization of STEM education in China.
