The former Soviet mathematician Stolyar said that "Mathematics teaching is also the teaching of mathematical language." Language learning is inseparable from reading.Mathematical reading ability is the basic of mastering mathematical language and is one of the important foundations for promoting mathematics learning activities smoothly and effectively.Therefore,paying attention to mathematics reading in mathematics teaching of elementary school,cultivating students' good math reading habits and strong mathematics reading ability,has become an inevitable trend of primary school mathematics teaching reform.On the basis of collecting and collating relevant domestic and foreign research,the research summarizes and expounds the related concepts and theories of"mathematical reading" and "mathematical reading ability".From the understanding of mathematics reading ontology,the content of mathematics reading,and the guidance of mathematics reading,this study designs the interview outline and questionnaire to understand the training of teachers and parents on the mathematics reading ability of lower grade students,and understand students' attitudes,habits,methods and methods of mathematics reading from parents,and design examination to understand the current situation of mathematics reading ability of primary school students.Through the survey,it is found that teachers and parents have some problems in mathematics reading teaching and guidance for students,and the mathematics reading ability of lower grade students is not optimistic.Based on the results of survey,this paper analyzes the causes of the problems of developing mathematics reading ability from teachers,parents,students and other four aspects:for teachers,there are five factors——lack of understanding of mathematics reading,providing less time and opportunity for students,single method for students to read mathematics,insufficient development of reading materials in textbooks;for parents,the two main reason is that the concept of education is not perfect,and the lack of correct reading and guiding methods;for students,there are mainly four reasons for the low interest in mathematics reading,the unclear goal and the shallow reading,the lesser and inefficient mathematics reading methods,and the weak mathematics reading ability.;from other aspects,' fewer suitable reading materials and less mathematics reading communication platforms two main reasons.Based on the analysis of the problems and causes of developing the mathematics reading ability of the lower grade students,this study puts forward corresponding suggestions from the perspectives of teachers,parents and schools:teachers should pay attention to pre-class reading,strengthen reading teaching in class,and improve after-school extending reading to improve students' mathematics reading ability,and pay attention to their own reading literacy;parents should change their educational concepts,draw extensive reading materials,and clarify methods to cultivate children's mathematics reading interest and ability;schools should build reading platforms,and pay attention to the cooperation between home and school,to strengthen the cultivation of students' mathematics reading ability.
