This paper is mainly about two problems:one is to study how the present situation of mathematics reading, senior high school students in Hainan what are the problems? Two is to improve the Hainan high school students’ reading ability in mathematics is what strategies and methods?First of all, this paper adopts the method of literature analysis, the full study on the study of mathematic reading data, of mathematics reading, mathematics reading ability and other related concepts, and summarized the characteristics and classification of mathematical reading and the training of mathematical reading ability of high school students significance.Secondly, with reference to Liu Yunli, Wang Yan, Guo Jingli et al. Master Thesis of "mathematics reading questionnaire", combined with the actual situation of Hainan students, Imade the appropriate additions and modifications, compiled the questionnaire of this thesis. Investigation and got the conclusion:there are some differences between male and female students reading situation of high school mathematics in Hainan, but the overall performance is consistent:(1) to realize the role of mathematical reading, mathematical reading attitude but not ideal; (2) the initiative of mathematics reading is not high, the lack of internal drive; (3)mathematical reading barriers clearly; (4) the lack of good reading methods and strategies; (5) the existing problems when careful; (6) mathematics in the process of reading self-monitoring ability is poor; (7) the teacher paid insufficient attention to the reading of mathematics, students receive guidance desire strongly; (8) the extracurricular reading is notoptimistic.In addition, I referred to Han Baoxi "interpretation of the college entrance examination inmathematics reading comprehension" and Hainan college entrance examination in recent years mathematics, compiled a set of mathematical reading ability test, using statistical software of SPSS Statistics 17 to analyze the test results obtained:men and women of Hainanhigh school student mathematics reading ability level is low and there are significant differences, sign language, written language, graphic language understanding ability is poor, three kinds of conversion between the mathematical language ability is not high; mathematics reading only stay on the surface, the lack of deep reading; the lack of critical hinking inmathematics reading.Finally, according to the existing research results, combined with my practical experience in teaching, puts forward the cultivation of mathematics reading ability of high school studentsthe strategies:(1) face of gender differences in mathematics reading, establish a correct concept of gender differences, gender education; (2) the cultivation of senior high school students in mathematics reading interest, reading the internal excitation motivation; (3) improve the ability to understand and transform of senior high school students’ mathematical language ability;(4) pay attention to the mathematical method of reading guidance,strengthen mathematics reading training.
