The Ministry of Education issued The Guidelines for Learning and Development of Children Aged 3-6 in 2012.The Guideline mentions that good living habits and daily living abilities mean that children are developing in the direction of living healthily in both mental and physical.It can also promote learning and development in other fields.One-day life is an approach of whole education.Pursuing the education of complete children,learning and life are inseparable.Eating is a common part of a child's daily life that the educational significance in it is always ignored.In this study,33 children aged from 3 to 4,were selected as study targets from the nursery class of Kindergarten S in city N.The observation method and the evaluation method were used to explore the relationship between proactive eating and proactive learning in group teaching activities and zone activities.Firstly,the author observes and records the eating behaviors and the learning behaviors in group teaching activities and zone activities of nursery class children.In order to measure proactive eating for nursery class children,the author created the"Proactive Eating Observation Indicators for Nursery Class Children" and tested the reliability and validity of it.Secondly,the study finds out the features in proactive eating behaviors.Proactive eating is shown as follows:active participation in pre-meal preparation and post-meal finishing work,independence during the meal,high concentration during the meal,good mood during the meal,eager to accept the food,and decent eating manners.There are also some other features in proactive eating:lack of self-service,lack of persistence,difficulty in independent eating,rely on teachers to feed,less attention when eating,playing while eating,refusing to eat the dislikes.Thirdly,the study also concludes the characteristics of proactive learning behaviors,which are expressed as follows:interest in group activities,curiosity about things,active exploration,and willingness to work with others.There are also some other features in proactive learning:unwilling to participate in group activities,to explore outside and to play with their peers,and unable to ask for help when encounter difficulties.Finally,using the "Proactive Eating Observation Indicators for Nursery Class Children" and "Preschool Children's Proactive Learning Key Development Indicator System" to test proactive eating and proactive learning of children and analyze the two results with SPSS 18.0,the following results are obtained:(1)There is no significant difference in proactive eating among nursery class children of different genders;(2)There is no significant difference in proactive learning among nursery class children of different genders;(3)There is a significant correlation between proactive eating and proactive learning among nursery class children.Through the correlation analysis and observation comparison between proactive eating and proactive learning,the study found that 27 of the 33 observations had a significant positive correlation between proactive eating and proactive learning.However,there are 6 children showed no correlation and even have a negative correlation.The factors influencing proactive eating and proactive learning in nursery class children are mainly explained from subjective and objective aspects.The subjective factors mainly include the physical and mental development characteristics and personal temperament characteristics of young children.And the objective factors mainly include adult guidance strategies,peer relationships,kindergarten and home environment.According to the above research results,the educational enlightenment is that eating is the process of children's learning,all aspects of children's development are interrelated;focusing on life,exploring the value of life and grasping the educational opportunities;encouraging children to experience and try,paying attention to the development of children's proactive learning quality.
