The middle school period is an important period that affects the physical and mental health of individuals,and the meaning of life has a positive role in promoting the development of individual mental health,and the improvement of the meaning of life is an important goal in individual life.Therefore,from the perspective of psychology,this research explores the relationship between proactive personality and the sense of meaning in life,introduces the two variables of psychological capital and time management disposition,and explores their mediating role between proactive personality and the sense of meaning in life.And put forward effective education suggestions to enrich the way to enhance the meaning of life.This study uses a questionnaire survey method,with 622 middle school students in Henan Province as the research objects.The research tools include the revised version of the Proactive Personality Scale(PPS),the Meaning in Life Questionnaire(MLQ),Psychological Capital Questionnaire for Adolescent Students(PCQAS),and Adolescence Time Management Disposition Scale(ATMD),using SPSS23.0 to test the reliability and validity of the questionnaire,descriptive statistics,independent sample t test,one-way analysis of variance,correlation analysis,multiple regression analysis,and finally chained with SPSS macro program PROCESS Intermediary analysis,the results are as follows:(1)Middle school students’ proactive personality,psychological capital,time management disposition,and meaning in life are all in the upper middle level.(2)Independent sample t-test and one-way analysis of variance were carried out on the proactive personality,psychological capital,time management disposition and meaning in life of middle school students.It was found that middle school students’ proactive personality is significantly different in the student’s place of origin(t=4.615,p<0.001),grade(F=5.723,p=0.001);the psychological capital of middle school students is significantly different in the place of origin(t=6.900,p<0.001)and grade(F=8.577,p<0.001);the time management disposition of middle school students is significant differences in gender(t=3.850,p<0.001)and place of origin(t=3.181,p=0.002);middle school students’ sense of meaning in life lies in gender(t=3.681,p<0.001)and place of origin(t=5.209,p<0.001),grade(F=6.356,p<0.001),the difference is significant.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between proactive personality,psychological capital,time management disposition,and meaning in life.proactive personality and meaning in life(r=0.559,p<0.001),proactive personality and psychological capital(r=0.607,p<0.001),proactive personality and time management disposition(r=0.598,p<0.001),psychological capital and meaning in life(r=0.631,p<0.001),time management disposition and meaning in life(r=0.589,p<0.001),psychological capital and time management disposition(r=0.697,p<0.001).(4)Psychological capital plays a partially mediating role between proactive personality and the sense of meaning in life,and the mediating effect accounts for37.76% of the total effect;time management disposition also plays a partially mediating role between proactive personality and the sense of meaning in life,mediating effect Accounted for 10.71% of the total effect.(5)Psychological capital and time management disposition play a chain-like mediating role between proactive personality and meaning in life,and the chain-like mediating effect accounts for 12.39% of the total effect.conclusion:(1)The proactive personality,psychological capital,and time management disposition of middle school students have significant predictive effects on the sense of meaning in life.(2)Proactive personality can not only directly predict the meaning in life of middle school students,but also indirectly predict the meaning in life of middle school students through psychological capital and time management disposition.(3)Proactive personality can indirectly predict the meaning in life of middle school students through the chain path of psychological capital and time management disposition. |
