Activities in Class Meeting play an important role in students' moral education, and they determined whether headteachers can reach the aims or not. However, for the reason of college entrance examination-oriented education and the burden of students schoolwork,Class Meeting is changed into exercises doing class or is given in the conventional form of preaching. We seldom find activities adopted in high school's Class Meeting, let along body-based activities which can free students' body and make Class Meeting come to life. Therefore, this article aims at exploring an effective way of implement in Class Meeting under the guidance of the theory of embodied cognition, which will enrich the effective ways in moral education,so as to make contribution in the course of realizing the ideal of “ khalid ents”.In traditional theories of cognition, schools still largely regard the mind and body as two distinct things, with teaching designed to train only the mind.Once the knowledge is put in students' brain, they would get the knowledge simply after the working of their brain. As a matter of fact, many teachers work hard on inputting the knowledge in their class but fail to reach their expected teaching aims.Embodied classroom, based on embodied cognition, emphasizes the positive influence of bodied-based activities during students' learning process. It is a new learning classroom model in an inextricably-linked “brain-body-environment”system.This paper with five chapters,is divided into three parts:The first part is chapter one.By reviewing the theory of embodied cognition and summarizing some of the key empirical laboratory-based demonstrations in the field of education,we found the potential in moral education if we putting the theory into Class Meeting. The second part is chapter two and chapter three. In this part, under the guidance of embodied cognition, the researcher first designs the body-based activities about cooperation, then develops Class Meeting body-based activities intervention. In chapter two,the researcher makes six designs of Class Meeting body-based activities after analyzing the practicalprinciples and important factors of the implements of activities in Class Meeting. In chapter three, firstly, the researcher develops Class Meeting body-based activities intervention by the theory of embodied cognition.Secondly, the researcher collects the data using the observation scale of cooperation for high school students and interviewing outlines.Thirdly, the researcher puts the collecting data into IBM SPSS to analyze and compare the data by significance testing. The third part is chapter four and chapter five.In this part,we draw a conclusion about the research above and give some practical suggestions in classroom teaching and learning.Through the research, our conclusion is as follows: First, the level of cooperation is significantly improved in the embodied class where Class Meeting body-based activities are adopted. However, there is no obvious change of the level in traditional class. This outcome illustrates that body-based activities in Class Meeting, compared to the school traditional way, significantly improve the level of cooperation.Second, comparing the outcome of pretest and post-test about the level of cooperation, there is evidently significance in embodied class while no difference in traditional class. This outcome suggests that it is more effective to reach our teaching aims by adopting body-based activities in Class Meeting.Third, comparing the outcome of pretest and post-test about atmosphere of cooperation,we find significance in the subject of Chinese and English, which suggests that body-based activities have positive effects on improving the teaching and learning atmosphere in these subjects. From what we discussed above,we find the pedagogical implications in classroom teaching and learning are as follows: To begin with, the theory of embodied cognition helps us transform our traditional concept of “brain” education. What's more, embodied cognition implies that we should set up an embodied classroom to improve students learning. In addition, embodied classroom makes it possible to build up an equal relationship between teachers and students.Last but not least,body-based activities can improve the efficiency in classroom teaching,so that we can help students improve their academic achievements.
