Online And Offline Mixed Teaching Research Of Ideological And Political Courses In Open University

The Radio and Television University(RTVU),which uses satellite technology for distance education,was formally established in the 1970 s with the advocacy and approval of Comrade Deng Xiaoping.The adult on-the-job education in China began to develop.However,the functions of radio and television universities have changed since the concept of "national learning" and "lifelong education" was put forward.In 2012,the Open University,which uses modern technology as a teaching technique,was unveiled and established.Since then,open universities at the national and local levels have been reformed one by one ever after.The real transition is not only reflected on the change of name,but also the redefinition of school mission,development goal and teaching methods.Ideological and political course is a general compulsory course for every major in open university.Adult students who returns to school with pursuit only for diploma often ignore this theoretical curriculum.The Open University is exploring ways to use advanced science and technology to improve its teaching implementation.Firstly,this paper explains several important concepts which are "Open University","Ideological and Political Course" and "Mixed Teaching",then defines the scope of the study.Secondly,the author,basing the survey on her own job in school,carries out questionnaires of the students and interviews the teachers to understand the dilemma between "student learning" and "teacher" in the ideological and political course in order to draw out the importance of the course.After that,analysis of the feasibility of online and offline mixed teaching of ideological and political course will be carried out to prove that online and offline mixed teaching is a more suitable teaching method for "Ideological and Political Course" in open universities.Finally,this paper analyses the procedure of implementing online and offline mixed teaching method before,during and after class from the perspectives of both teachers and students.Teachers in open universities have been exploring more effective teaching methods for ideological and political courses.On-line and off-line mixed teaching,based on humanism,constructivism,demand theory,attention curve and other theories,is implemented with the help of the Internet,big data,smart phones and other scientific and technological means.It also takes the advantages of MOOC and SPOC teaching methods.Online and offline mixed teaching is realized by using problem-based teaching;online and offline mixed teaching is achieved by cooperating with each other.
