Subculture is a unique cultural form.It refers to the normative system of smaller groups,especially its differences in language,lifestyle,diet,and religion compared with large groups.Members of subcultures challenge their dominant culture through certain visible forms and unique symbols to establish their identity.Style is the most prominent symbol of subculture,and it is the means by which cultural identity and social status of subculture members can be negotiated and expressed.In this sense,style is a manifestation of all members of a subculture organized around a unique form of activity.It is a specific way of communication and behavior between them that is different from the outside world.This research used ethnographic research methods to identify different subculture styles of students in a city public school through participatory observation.The research is divided into three chapters: The first chapter introduces the origin of the research.Through the combing of the results of domestic and foreign research,this part clarifies the subculture style as the basic research idea.The second chapter identifies the specific subculture styles in the school and describes them in detail.The third chapter mainly discusses the interaction between the school and family level and the student subculture.Through detailed ethnographic investigation,we found that students showed a subculture style that clearly despise the school's institutional norms.This subculture style can be understood as a noise behind school authority.Although some frequent disciplinary behaviors are unique expressions of this subculture,in most cases,Students are afraid to create chaos in the face of strict school system regulations.Instead,they will choose some indirect form to complete their subculture identity expression behind the school's disciplinary authority.Although this subculture style is destructive to the school,it is not malicious.It is not against the school system like the anti-school culture.On the contrary,it is an effective means for students to expand their autonomy in the school life.This form of student subculture is from the students one-sidedly understand the core educational paradigm of school as a knowledge acquisition of the exam subject,and thus they ignore the institutional identity of student.
