The teaching material is the main carrier of the course which is also one of the main contents of the curriculum reform.Teachers are the specific implementers of curriculum reform.it is worthwhile to consider and research how to scientifically handle and rationally use teaching materials based on the current status of local economic and social development.Chongqing has implemented the new curriculum reforms since 2010,which has lasted eight years.Owing to the constraints of economic development,there is a big gap between Chongqing and the developed provinces in the conditions for running schools,teachers,and student development.After implementing the reform of the new high school chemistry curriculum,the question whether the use of compulsory teaching materials for the people's education edition of Chongqing has met the course objectives and the local condition of education and the environment is worth researching in Chongqing especially in the regions under the jurisdiction of Chongqing Municipality.This study was based on the common high school curriculum standards of 2003 and 2017.The use of textbooks for high school in Wanzhou District was studied.The current situation of the use of high school chemistry compulsory textbooks in economically underdeveloped areas was investigated and analyzed through the review of literature,field interviews,questionnaires,and teaching practices.Having known the problems in the use of teaching materials,and according to the existing problems,this essay proposed appropriate strategies for the use of high school chemistry compulsory textbooks.The object of this study is the teachers and students who are using compulsory textbooks of the People's Education Press.The surveyed issues seek to accurately and truly reflect the current status of the use of compulsory textbooks for high school chemistry in Wanzhou District,Chongqing,so that the teaching strategies proposed by the Institute can serve the first-line chemistry teachers.Based on the problems found in the survey,this study proposes the following strategies for the use of textbooks.Firstly,explore and develop school-based bridging materials to help students achieve a higher degree of seamless transition.Secondly,reorganize and integrate some teaching materials to promote students to build a knowledge system.Thirdly,innovate and optimize teaching materials for experimental sections to develop students' independent exploration capabilities.Fourthly,design the entire course of class teaching to achieve effective teaching in chemistry classes.Fifthly,develop school-based chemistry teaching resources and jointly develop interactive teaching models.Sixthly,build a chemistry textbook development preparation group to continuously explore textbook usage strategy.This study analyzes and discusses the use of teaching strategies from both theoretical and practical aspects.It provides the theoretical basis and practical guidance for first-line high school chemistry teachers to use teaching materials according to the actual situation in teaching,and promotes first-line high school chemistry teachers to use the teaching materials scientifically and reasonably.
