It is one of the specific tasks to cultivate a group of top-notch and innovative talents for “Double First-Class” university.The quality of innovation as an essential quality for innovative talents is inseparable from the cultivation of higher education.The universities as the main positions for talents cultivation,which play an indispensable role on cultivating innovative quality of university students.The construction of “Double First-Class”initiative is another major national project in the field of higher education after the “985”and “211” project in China.Its proposal is an important strategic choice made by China for improving quality of higher education and building powerful country of higher education.With the development of construction of “Double First-Class” initiative,it has put forward some new and higher requirements on the development of higher education in China,especially talents cultivation.Based on this,this paper will attempt to clarify relative concepts of “Double First-Class” initiative and innovative quality of university and prove importance of cultivation of innovative quality of university students from the three dimensions of society,colleges and individuals under construction of “Double First-Class” initiative.This paper will take university students in Yunnan Province for research objects,and survey to find some prominent problems existing in the innovation consciousness,innovative thinking,innovative knowledge,innovative ability and innovative personality of university students' innovative quality in Yunnan Province under construction of “Double First-Class”initiative by questionnaire and interview and so on.Then the paper will further analyze the main causes of these problems from the four following aspects: university students' self-cultivation awareness,training plan on talents of universities,the level of teacher resources and platform of cultivation of innovation quality.Focusing on the prominent problems and the main causes of these problems found in the survey,I suggest that those universities in Yunnan should make use of the opportunity of construction of “Double First-Class” initiative to reform and adjust in good time and those universities in Yunnan also play to their own strengths of higher education to improve university students' innovative quality by the following measures: to improve cultivation awareness ofuniversity students' innovative quality;to strengthen overall planning of cultivation of university students' innovative quality;to strengthen the construction of teacher resources and expand practice platform of cultivation of university students' innovative quality,etc.These measures will provide a new engine for serving the regional economic development of Yunnan and adding fresh energy.So far,at the end of this thesis plans to give a comprehensive summarize of the whole passage and point out a part of problems and shortcomings that still exist in this study.
