With the rapid development of information technology,the education circle attaches more and more importance to mathematical modeling.In 2017,China's Ministry of Education issued the Mathematics Curriculum Standards(Revision)for General Senior High School(hereinafter referred to as the New Curriculum Standards),which proposed mathematical modeling as one of the six core qualities of mathematics for the first time.In addition,mathematical modeling has also become a difficulty in the examination of college entrance examination,which puts forward higher requirements for teachers' teaching.In the process of teaching,teachers must have a deep understanding of students' cognitive level of mathematical modeling and students' mathematical modeling ability.What is the situation of students in these two aspects?It will become two problems to be solved urgently in this paper.In this study two part of junior high school by Beijing as the research object,according to the new standard evaluation dimensions and level of mathematical modeling and SOLO classification theory,preparation of high school mathematical modeling ability test and the cognition of mathematical modeling questionnaire,through the pre-test,discuss with front-line teachers,eventually form of questionnaire in this paper.SPSS software was used to analyze the mathematical modeling ability and cognitive level of senior high school students as a whole,to analyze the difference and consistency,to provide certain data support for the mathematical modeling of senior high school students according to the analysis results,and to put forward targeted opinions and Suggestions for modeling teaching.The thesis is divided into six chapters.The first chapter,based on the current educational reform environment,especially the status of mathematical modeling in the curriculum standards of different countries,puts forward the background,research problems,purpose and significance of this research.In the second chapter,according to the domestic and foreign research on the five aspects of mathematical modeling ability,the related concepts of this paper are defined,and the evaluation framework of this paper is proposed.The third chapter expounds the research design of this paper,including the reasonable selection of research objects,the selection of research methods,the sorting of research ideas and the preparation of the questionnaire,in addition to the questionnaire prediction test and questionnaire quality analysis.The fourth chapter is the core chapter of this paper.It mainly carries out statistical analysis on the collected data to obtain the level of mathematical modeling ability and cognitive level of high school students,conducts consistency analysis on the level of mathematical modeling ability and cognitive level of students,and conducts typical error analysis on students' responses.In the fifth chapter,based on the summary of the contents of the previous chapters,relevant conclusions are drawn,and Suggestions for the teaching of mathematical modeling in middle schools are given.The sixth chapter is the deficiency of this research and the prospect of future research.This study found that high school mathematical modeling ability level and cognitive level of the overall situation is not ideal,of which the students' ability of mathematical modeling in average level around a,mathematical modeling cognitive level on the three dimension scores are not high,and the students'ability of mathematical modeling level there is significant correlation between their cognitive level.By analyzing the students' responses,it is found that the students have a high degree of satisfaction in the dimensions of context and content,process and conclusion,and are deficient in establishing and solving models.Only two students can meet the requirements of five dimensions,and the students have a weak grasp of the knowledge required for mathematical modeling.Based on the above research results,the author puts forward the following Suggestions for mathematical modeling teaching:(1)considering the overall situation of students,reasonably arrange mathematical modeling courses;(2)To infiltrate mathematical modeling thoughts into teaching and train students'modeling thinking purposefully;(3)Select mathematical modeling materials with familiar background;(4)Teachers themselves should strengthen their understanding of mathematical modeling and improve their quality of mathematical modeling.
