| During the two sessions in 2018,minister of education Chen baosheng has repeatedly stressed that we should not only reduce the burden on students,but also reduce the burden on teachers.Currently,teachers in primary and secondary schools are faced with heavy work burden,which has a negative impact on teachers’ personal lives and careers.Therefore,it is the research focus of this paper to explore the reasons for the current increase in the work load of primary and secondary school teachers and seek solutions.This paper takes part of the full-time teachers of M primary school and J primary school in Xi’an as the research object.Through the questionnaire survey method,the status quo of the full-time teachers of the two schools is investigated.According to the survey results,the main reasons for increase of workload of the teachers in two schools are summarized.And on this basis,seeking effective countermeasures to alleviate the workload of teachers.The specific research contents are as follows:Firstly,interpretating the theory related to teacher’s work load.On the basis of differentiating and analyzing concepts,such as teacher’s work load and teacher,s professional pressure,the author also summarize relevant theories on teachers’ work load in order to lay a foundation for the following writing framework of this paper.Secondly,analysing the status quo of teachers’ work load.Through the investigation of some full-time teachers of the two schools,based on the analysis and collation of the obtained materials,the main situation of the current primary school teachers’ work burden is summarized:the overall workload is heavier,the average daily working hours arc longer,the time for lesson preparation and learning is less,the class time is shorter,and the non-teaching time is longer.Thirdly,analysing the reasons of teachers’ workload.At the social level,there are frequent educational reform and multi-party social expectations.At the school level,there are unscientific teaching management and non-standard teaching evaluation.At the student level,there are high pressure on graduation rates and tricky student management.At the teacher level,there are multiple role conflicts and lacking of individual abilities.Lastly,exploring of countermeasures of teachers’ work load.The first is to create a social atmosphere of respecting teachers and valuing education to enhance teachers’ professional happiness.The second is to improve the ecological environment of education and return to the ecological origin of education.The third is to make clear the working hours and distribution of primary and secondary school teachers and reduce the workload of teachers.The fourth is to provide resource support for teachers,improve teacher management and evaluation,and promote the professional and career development of teachers. |
