In the process of modernization and democratization of basic education in our country, achieving educational equity is the purpose of educational reform. In the process of realizing educational equity, gender equality is the most important, but it is also a link that is easy to be ignored.Gender inequality is highlighted in the field of basic education, and the phenomenon of academic weakness of boys is becoming more and more common. No matter from the school academic performance ranking or classroom performance, class awards and other aspects reflect the significant differences between male and female survival, the academic advantages of girls have been greatly highlighted and the academic gap between boys and girls continues to widen. The phenomenon of boys' weak academic performance reflects the neglect of the relationship between gender and education, which directly affects the effective development of education content and methods. It is not only to achieve the value of education equity, especially gender equality, but also to stimulate the academic self-confidence of boys, fully explore their own potential, and achieve the optimal development of boys and girls.By collecting and sorting out the existing relevant research results, this thesis makes an overall grasp of the current research situation of boys' academic weakness,to provide some theoretical and investigation basis for this thesis. This study takes rural A primary school as an example to conduct a field survey.By selecting the mid-term scores of students from Grade 3 to Grade 5,combined with random classroom observation and interviews with teachers, students and parents, the study shows that boys have academic weakness.First,in terms of academic performance, boys' academic performance lags girls;secondly,in terms of classroom performance, boys' enthusiasm for classroom interaction is not high, and classroom bad behaviors occur frequently;finally, they are in the position of "outsiders" in class management activities.the performance is that the proportion of boys serving as class cadres is low,the degree of participation in class activities is low,and the class seats are marginalized. There are many reasons for the phenomenon, which can be attributed to boys themselves, family, school, society and other factors.Based on the theories of pedagogy, sociology and gender difference psychology, and focusing on the analysis of the influencing factors, this paper puts forward the educational countermeasures to improve the learning disadvantage of boys in rural primary schools: the improvement strategies of boys' own characteristics, the improvement of boys' self-management ability, the establishment of lofty ideal goals, the mastery of the methods to improve learning efficiency, and the formation of good peer group relations;schools The improvement strategies of education include encouraging male teachers to join the teaching team, changing the education mode, focusing on diversified education, combining equal treatment with different treatment, teaching and evaluation on the basis of sex;the improvement strategies of family education call for fathers to return to family education, create a good family atmosphere, and improve the enthusiasm of parents to participate in education;the improvement strategies of rural social culture,Reasonably carry out gender education activities and create a positive cultural environment. It is not a state of "zero sum" struggle between boys and girls, but a mutually beneficial and symbiotic relationship. We should face up to the phenomenon of boys' weak academic ability, respect gender differences and transcend gender differences, wake up the subject consciousness from self reflection, promote the common progress of boys and girls, and promote the good development of rural education.
