STEM education has a unique advantage in the cultivation of scientific and technological innovation talents,which helps students to better adapt to the future society.Therefore,STEM education has gradually become an important direction of education reform in countries around the world.In order to adapt to the current form of economic and social development in China and further promote the cultivation of national technical talents,strengthening STEM education is an important direction for the current education system reform in China.Although STEM education has been vigorously promoted,there are still a series of challenges in the development of STEM education in China.Due to the lack of macro planning at the national level and the lack of a relatively unified STEM curriculum related standards,there are many problems in the practice of STEM education in China.Under the current situation of education in China,STEM education has a good space for development in primary schools,and students' learning interests and comprehensive abilities in science,technology,engineering,mathematics and other disciplines are cultivated from the primary school stage,and sustainable development,laying a good foundation for the further development of students in the following stages.This research is based on the STEM education concept,uses the school-based curriculum as a platform,based on Project-based Learning and integration of relevant education and teaching theories,project-based design of STEM school-based curriculum in primary school is carried out,and teaching practice research is carried out specifically.The content and results of the specific research are summarized as follows:This research used literature research method to look up relevant literature,retrieved information related to STEM education,school-based curriculum and curriculum content design,analyzed and studied the collected information,understood the latest development of STEM curriculum at home and abroad,was familiar with relevant background,and clarified research issues.After research and analysis,this study selected "laser cutting technology" as the content of the STEM curriculum,took school-based curriculum as the platform,based on the STEM education concept,and integrated project-based learning to carry out the project-based design of the STEM school-based curriculum in primary schools.Starting from the real problem situation,create the learning situation of "Maverick Classical Game Club",integrate multidisciplinary knowledge,break the disciplinary barriers,and design curriculum based on project-based learning theory,so that the STEM concept and PBL concept complement each other,form the superposition effect,and promote the development of students' knowledge and ability.Through the systematic project-based design of STEM school-based curriculum in primary school,the teaching practice of the curriculum is carried out,and through the collation and analysis of the research data,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The project-based design of STEM school-based curriculum in primary school has certain rationality and feasibility.(2)The project-based design of STEM school-based curriculum in primary school helps to improve students' interest in learning.(3)The project-based design of STEM school-based curriculum in primary school helps to promote the improvement of students' comprehensive ability.
