"Taking health education as an important part of quality education in all education stages,focusing on primary and secondary schools,establishing a school health education promotion mechanism." and "incorporating sexual and reproductive health education into the compulsory education curriculum system" has been explicitly stated in “The 2030 plan of China healthy(2016)”and”The outline foe the development of Chinese children(2011-2020)”.Therefore,sex education,as an important part of quality education,should be included in the curriculum system of school education.At the same time,a series of sexually related social events warnings are indispensable for the sexual education of children and adolescents.The primary stage,as the initial stage of compulsory education,has an unshirkable responsibility for the sexual education of students.So in primary school,do students have a demand for sex education? What is the status of school implementation of sex education for primary school students? Is there a problem?What is the cause of the problem? How to seek improvement? This is the problem of this study focus on investigation and research.This study used the questionnaires and interviews to survey the students’ awareness and appeals of sex education and the status quo of primary school sex education in the senior school students and teachers of W City S Elementary School in Shandong Province.The innovation of this research is based on the school.It provides suggestions and countermeasures for the effective implementation of sex education in schools lacking the previous experience of sex education and the lack of sexual education resources in the third-and fourth-tier cities.The shortcoming is that the selected samples are represented.There are certain limitations.Through the questionnaire survey of senior students,it is found that:(1)the upper grade students of primary school have begun to sprout in sexual consciousness,and the crush or even develop a relationship among the peers are not the individual phenomenon;(2)the upper grade students’ score lower on common sexual knowledge questions,that means they’re poorly on the mastery of common sexual knowledge;(3)senior students are confused about sexual knowledge and have a desire to receive sex education in school.In interviews with school leaders and senior teachers,the author found that the following problems exist in the current sex education in schools:(1)lack of specialized sex education courses and have the casual and random choice on sex education’s content;(2)the approach of sex education is single and formalization;(3)teachers are lack of sexual education awareness and ability;(4)school’s sex education evaluation is missing.The main reasons for the above-mentioned problems in the current primary school sex education are various,mainly the restriction of the traditional concept of sexual education,thelack of school sex education resources,and the poor communication between the family and the school,and the inability to form a synergy.Based on the above investigation and analysis,the author suggests that schools should start from the establishment of a comprehensive scientific concept of sex education,make full use of resources inside and outside the school,carry out a variety of sex education activities,strengthen the integration of home and school,and play the role of parents in the role of sex education.It also improves the current sexual education conditions of the school,strengthens the sexual education of the upper primary school students,and satisfies the students’ sexual education appeals.
