The Physics Curriculum Standard for Ordinary Senior High School(2017)states that modeling ability is an indispensable ability in the learning process of physics disciplines.To understand students' physical modeling ability,it is necessary to measure and evaluate their physical modeling ability.The development of physical modeling ability evaluation tools can lay the foundation for the measurement and evaluation of physical modeling ability and provide a reference for physics teaching practice.Based on the modelling ability evaluation framework proposed by Lopes,this study compiles test papers for high school students' physical modeling ability in accordance with the three dimensions of modelling ability,and formulates corresponding scoring standards.test was used to study the high school students ability of physical modeling,The data were statistically processed and the quality of the test papers was tested,the following conclusions were obtained:(1)The high school students' physical modeling ability test papers are of good quality.There are 4 questions for the high school students' physical modeling ability test paper.The selected question types are short answer questions and original physics questions.According to the physical modeling ability evaluation framework,corresponding scoring standards are formulated for the 4 questions.The overall difficulty of the test paper is moderate,with good reliability and discrimination,and the consistency reliability of the raters is also good.(2)The scoring rate of the entire test paper is 46%,and the physical modeling ability of high school students needs to be improved.In three dimensions,students performed best in the conceptual dimension of physical modeling ability;secondly in the face mode dimension;students performed worst in the face mode dimension of physical modeling ability.Under the subdimension of these three dimensions,the student's object conceptualization modeling ability performs best,and the ability to identify systems,predict and describe is weak.(3)There was no gender difference in the overall scores of high school students' physical modeling abilities.In the three dimensions of physical modeling ability,the average scores of boys are higher than the average scores of girls,but there are no differences in the three dimensions of physical modeling capabilities.(4)High school students' physical modeling ability is different in different physical achievement groupings.There are also differences in the three dimensions of physical modeling ability.There is a significant correlation between the student's physical performance in the final exam and the physical modeling ability.There is also a significant correlation between the students' final physics performance and the three dimensions of modeling ability.The regression analysis of the final physics score and the total score of physics modeling ability is carried out,and it was found that the regression equation can be established,and the establishment of the regression equation is meaningful.
