The academy was an important form of education organization in ancient China,which had a great impact on the development of education in China.Yuelu Academy is hailed as the first of the "four major academies" in ancient China.It is one of the representatives of academy education.Since its establishment,it has cultivated a large number of talents for practical use,achieved outstanding school achievements,and formed a high social prestige.Exploring the reasons,extraordinary educational achievements cannot be separated from excellent educational ideas.Yuelu Academy combines "being a person" and "being a study",spreading the way of being a person and teaching as a way of learning,on the one hand,it promotes students to improve their personal accomplishments,enhance national integrity,and on the other hand,stimulates students to learn passion and cultivate academic thinking.The educational experience of Yuelu Academy provides inspiration for modern education.This article uses Yuelu Academy’s historical development and educational concepts as the starting point to explore the inspiration to history teaching in middle schools.The paper is divided into three parts.The first part briefly introduces the development process of Yuelu Academy: Yuelu Academy was born in the Northern Song Dynasty;it prospered in the Southern Song Dynasty;it was rebuilt with the support of the government in the Yuan Dynasty,but it did not become a vassal of the government;Rejuvenation;further development during the Qing Emperor Kangxi years,the New Deal in the late Qing Dynasty,Yuelu Academy successfully transformed from a traditional academy to a modern university,becoming the only ancient academy in China that is still enrolling.The second part deeply analyzes the educational characteristics of Yuelu Academy,including educational philosophy,teaching content and teaching mode.The author finds that Yuelu Academy attaches great importance to moral education,not only emphasizing students’ personal moral conduct,but also cultivating students’ sense of social responsibility and historical responsibility.From teaching content to daily norms,on the one hand,it helps students self-cultivation through Confucian classics and historical classics.On the one hand,encouraging and encouraging students in collective education and daily activities,a two-pronged approach,plays an important role in students’ spiritual cultivation.With goodeducational ideas and teaching content,good teaching methods are also needed.Yuelu Academy has a variety of teaching methods such as lectures,difficult questions,inspirational points,excellent travel experience,and self-study seminars.Lectures and lectures are lecture gatherings.Two or more teachers use the form of discussion and explanation to realize the transfer of knowledge and academic exchanges between teachers and students,creating a free and relaxed teaching atmosphere,which is conducive to the cultivation of students’ thinking ability..Difficult questioning refers to questioning,asking questions,and arguing about problems encountered in learning.Heuristics emphasizes that teachers give appropriate guidance when students are actively thinking,reflecting heuristic teaching.Youyou experience is not only a teaching mode,but also a mode of entertainment and leisure between teachers and students,which is beneficial to the formation of harmonious teacher-student relationship.Self-study and self-study are the teaching characteristics of Yuelu Academy,which is conducive to cultivating students’ learning autonomy and improving their learning ability.The third part,based on the above,links with the practice of contemporary history teaching.Under the general background of the new curriculum reform,under the pressure of the entrance to the middle and high school entrance examinations,there are still some worrying situations in today’s history classrooms,such as "filled duck" classrooms.It still exists,and the student’s subject status is not fully reflected.From the millennium development process of Yuelu Academy,the author found that although there is a feudal imprint,the flaws are not concealed,and there are a lot of experiences that can be used for reference in contemporary history teaching.Subject status,building a harmonious teacher-student relationship,etc.Thousands of years have elapsed,and there are endless strings of songs.This traditional academy has a lot of school experience for reference in contemporary history teaching. |
