The development of rural basic education is helpful to build a new socialist countryside,promote the realization of rural modernization,and improve the level of rural basic education is an important way to change the lagging situation of rural development and narrow the gap between urban and rural areas.It is related to the harmonious development of the entire economy and society.Under the background of urbanization,this article selected a village primary school(Y village primary school)in Rizhao City as a case study object,combining the author’s teaching experience and personal experience in the past ten years in Y village primary school with field surveys.Through the interviews and documents of teachers and village community leaders,taking the time dimension as the basic clue,it describes the evolution of rural schools in the early,middle,prosperous and crisis stages,and presents a microscopic picture of educational changes.This paper analyzes the factors affecting the development of primary school in Y village,and finds that the influencing factors mainly focus on several aspects such as education policy,students ’sources,teachers,and resources.Based on the historical development and practical difficulties,the value of small-scale schools was demonstrated,and the following school development suggestions were put forward: Various efforts to stabilize the source of students,optimize the allocation of teachers and resources,build school characteristics,etc.,and build a small and beautiful construction.Small and excellent small village schools.The thesis is divided into four parts: introduction,including research background,research significance,research summary,research methods and ideas;The second part describes the course of Y village’s early,middle,prosperous development and life crisis.The third part mainly analyzes the factors of primary school development in Y village,including the positive factors that promote the development of the school and the unfavorable factors that affect the current development of the school;The fourth part is about the development of small scale schools in rural areas,from the perspective of withdrawal point and school and self-development,and focuses on the analysis of school development countermeasures.
