The junior high school stage is the key stage for the development of students' thinking and also the starting stage for the development of their innovative consciousness.Developing students' plausible reasoning ability can not only exercise their thinking ability,but also benefit the development of students' innovative consciousness.Therefore,cultivating students ' plausible reasoning ability is an important way to cultivate students' innovative spirit and ability,and it must attract everyone's attention.In order to understand the current situation of the development of plausible reasoning ability of junior high school students,a survey was conducted on the plausible reasoning ability of the eighth graders in Tianjin.Based on a careful study of the existing literature,the research status and related theories of plausible reasoning are introduced.After briefly combing the representative views of the connotation of plausible reasoning,plausible reasoning is defined as: according to the existing facts and the correct conclusions(including definitions,axioms,theorems,etc.),the results of experiments and practice,and the reasoning process of some results from personal experience and intuition,include basic models of induction and analogy.The main research questions are:(1)What is the current situation of students' plausible reasoning ability in junior high school?(2)How to cultivate the plausible reasoning ability of junior high school students?In order to study the above problems,firstly use the literature analysis method to consult,comb,and analyze the existing relevant literature as needed and existing theories,to form a deep understanding of the research problems,determine the research ideas,combine teachers' opinions,and under the guidance of experts establish plausible reasoning ability evaluation form for junior high school students and prepare test papers.And tested 220 eighth-grade students from four schools in Tianjin,and then analyzed the test data using SPSS22.0 software.The survey found that:(1)The level of plausible reasoning ability of junior high school students is in the middle-low range;(2)There is no significant difference in the scores of the plausible reasoning test of male and female students;(3)The results of the plausible reasoning test of junior high school students are positively related to the students' mathematical results;(4)The development is uneven,and the ability of analogy is better than the ability of induction;(5)The junior high school students' analogy ability and induction ability are significantly related;(6)Some teachers do not have a deep understanding of plausible reasoning.Based on the research findings and related research results,and on the basis of its own teaching practice,it proposes several strategies for developing students' plausible reasoning:(1)research standard mathematics textbooks,grasp the nature of plausible reasoning;(2)presuppose mathematical problem situations,Stimulate awareness of plausible reasoning;(3)encourage students to make bold conjectures and create a space for plausible reasoning;(4)guide students to think in multiple directions and train students to think divergently;(5)focus on the process of knowledge exploration and improve the ability of plausible reasoning.
