Today the world is an era of rapid development,continuous change and immediate adjustment,under such a background,science and technology are developing rapidly.As one of the science courses,biology course also needs to keep pace with the times.Since the new curriculum reform promoted in China,we had launched a series of new curriculum standards.Ordinary High School Biology Curriculum Standard was issued in 2017,which emphasizes that we should focus on big concepts and important concepts.In 2019,new materials of the course were also released and highlighted the importance of the concept formation process.How to deal with the new demands in the new era? The teaching of constructing the core concepts of biology has become a problem that every teacher needs to think about.In this study,the core concepts and core concept teaching were systematically sorted out,and the "cell metabolism" in module 1 "molecules and cells" was taken as an example for analysis and research.Firstly,the core concept of this topic was established as "The metabolism of cells is inseparable from the exchange of substances and the flow of energy".Then,by selecting one class from the two important concepts and three cases for each class,the relationship between biological concepts and biological facts is sort out.And based on this observe how teachers help students form general concepts in the teaching process and whether they teach around core concepts.According to the content of the study,some suggestions on how to promote the formation of the core concept of biology are put forward.Through the analysis and research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Based on the analysis and generalization of scientific facts,,teachers can guide students to learn general concepts and promote the construction of core concepts.(2)The concept of top-down leadership of teachers can help students to build an organic relationship between knowledge from the bottom up.(3)Teachers can well guide students to transfer and apply core concepts.According to the research content,some suggestions are put forward: teachers should dig up teaching resources that can point to the construction of core concepts,and pay attention to the essential connection between knowledge.In teaching planning,the core concepts need to be divided into units.It is hoped that this study can provide some reference value for teachers on how to teach around core concepts.
