The head teacher of primary school is the first person that the student receives formal education to contact,it is the person that has important influence to its own growth besides parents and family more,the work of the head teacher of primary school is crucial to the development and growth of the pupil.In the new era,more and more people born in the 1990 s have become teachers,and a large part of them have also become class teachers.The characteristics of the post-90 s generation are also reflected in the work of head teachers.How to become a qualified or excellent primary school head teacher has become a hot issue in teacher education research.The post-90 s generation as a generation with "independence,self-confidence,publicity,precocious" personality characteristics,what is the current competency of post-90 s class teachers? Are they competent as a head teacher? What problems do they have in terms of the head teacher's competence?In this paper,the competency questionnaire of the existing scholars was selected as a tool.The questionnaire has 12 dimensions(Education ability,class management ability,teaching ability,knowledge structure,self-monitoring ability,educational concept,professional ethics,achievement motivation,interpersonal communication,psychological counseling ability,emotion,work quality consciousness)and 56 competency items.A total of 500 questionnaires were distributed to the primary school teachers from Shanghai,Zhejiang and Anhui,and 382 valid questionnaires were recovered.Through sorting out and analyzing the questionnaire data,and comparing the competency status of the post-90 s and post-70 s and post-80 s class teachers,as well as combining interviews with some post-90 s class teachers and school management,the following conclusions are drawn:The post-90 s class teachers lack rich and complete professional knowledge and skills of class teachers,their interpersonal skills and adaptability to work environment are weak,their self-monitoring ability is general and their awareness of professional development is weak.In view of the above problems,this paper puts forward the strategies to improve the competence of post-90 s class teachers:The solution is mainly from three aspects.First,the administrative department of education should perfect the curriculum setting of pre-service training and optimize the education probation and practice;Second,the school should establish the headteacher selection system,improve the headteacher training mechanism,establish an effective headteacher incentive and assessment system,build a headteacher learning platform and create a harmonious working atmosphere;Thirdly,the post-90 s class teachers themselves should strengthen theoretical learning,dare to innovate,establish professional identity and improve professional ability,change their roles to adapt to the environment,and strengthen practical reflection,so as to constantly exchange and learn from each other.
