In the engineering transformation of technical education,the cultivation of engineering thinking is one of the focuses.According to the report "engineering in k-12 education" in the United States,"k-12 engineering education should promote the habit of engineering thinking.Engineering 'habits of mind' are considered one of the essential skills of the 21 st century.In China's high school general technology curriculum,engineering thinking is listed as one of the core qualities of the five disciplines,which refers to a kind of planning thinking with systematic analysis and comparison and balance as the core.However,most of the researches on the cultivation of engineering thinking focus on the teaching research of engineering thinking,and the evaluation research is less.In practical general technical education,teachers evaluate students' engineering thinking by roughly observing their activities,but lack a reasonable and accurate evaluation method.Therefore,through scientific and reasonable evaluation of high school students engineering thinking,to understand the student's existing level,in order to develop countermeasures are put forward.Combining with the domestic and foreign research theory,this paper constructed the evaluation system of high school students engineering thinking could be divided into two dimensions engineering thinking-thinking tendency and engineering thinking ability,and the social situation,the technology itself situation,school,or community situation as three kinds of situation,depending on the performance of thinking will be divided three levels,each dimension based on writing assessment questionnaire and classroom observation table.The purpose is to evaluate the engineering thinking of senior high school students,to understand the current level of students,and to provide effective information and reference for the cultivation of engineering thinking and the cultivation of core accomplishment of technical discipline in future technical education.Taking the students of nanjing E middle school as the evaluation object,this paper evaluates the engineering thinking of senior high school students through questionnaire test,classroom observation and other evaluation methods.The evaluation results show that the students' overall level of engineering thinking is good,and the development of each dimension is unbalanced.The difference of engineering thinking between boys and girls is not obvious;Technology hobby different students' engineering thinking differences and conclusion.Finally,Suggestions are put forward according to the high school students thinking training for this study:(1)to cultivate engineering thinking as the core,the development of high engineering education(2)refined high engineering education target system of thinking,to guide the teaching and evaluation(3)based on project teaching,task driven teaching method,thinking development project in the engineering practice(4)pay attention to the systematic analysis in engineering activities,promote the systematic development of engineering thinking(5)create a variety of options,strengthen students' ability to compare and balance(6)strengthen the engineering characteristics of technical education resources,ensure the needs of students to carry out engineering practice(7)pay attention to the cultivation of students' technical interests,play the role of schools,communities,society and other subjects in the cultivation of engineering thinking(8)explore diversified evaluation methods of engineering thinking based on the real situation.
