In recent years,the Ministry of Education has successively issued some documents of great significance to the vocational skills competition,"The Three-year Plan of the National Vocational College Skills Competition(2013-2015)","The Implementation Plan of the National Vocational College Skills Competition(2017-2020)",etc.,mainly used the form of vocational skills competition to test the teaching quality of vocational education,hoping to promote the improvement of the teaching quality of vocational and technical education through the skills competition.Most of the competitions are held around the needs of enterprises.The latest development of vocational technology and the latest demand for skilled talents can be demonstrated through the vocational skills competition.One of the key projects of the National Tourism College Skills Competition-Tour Guide Skills Competition,the contest has many aspects of promotion: promoted the improvement of tour guide professional skills;made tourism students have a sense of pride in tour guide careers;Teaching reform has also played a role in promoting.After participating in the skill competition,the overall quality and professional standards of the players have been greatly improved.Therefore,try to apply the achievements of the skill contest to the teaching of the tour guide courses,so that students who do not participate in the contest can also enjoy the benefits brought by the contest,fully demonstrate the demonstration-oriented role of the skill contest,so that the purpose of "promoting education and promoting competition through competition" is to improve the level of education and teaching,and to accelerate the pace of vocational education and teaching reform and development.This article takes the case of the "Guided Tour Business" course of the tour guide major in Nanjing Engineering Higher Vocational School as an example,and uses a questionnaire survey to conduct teacher interviews to investigate and analyze the classroom teaching situation of the "Guided Tour Business" course.The results found that there are: teaching emphasizes theory over practice;in teaching activities,the proportion of practical teaching is small,which makes students not strong in operation ability;teaching methods are inflexible and learning effects are not good;teachingevaluation methods are single and other problems.To solve the above problems,it is necessary to optimize the professional construction of tour guides from the tour guide skill contest,which can be detailed as: optimization of talent training programs;improvement of the construction of double-qualified teams;optimization of teaching content;improvement of teaching methods Optimizing the curriculum system;improving the construction of the training base.Secondly,taking the skill competition as the starting point,the teaching optimization of the "guide business" course and the teaching design of the guide business course are carried out.Provide suggestions and references for better implementation of the promotion of teaching by competition,the promotion of learning by competition,the improvement of the current situation of curriculum teaching,and the promotion of the teaching reform and development of vocational tourism professional courses.Secondary vocational colleges should reform teaching around the vocational skills competition to promote the improvement of students' comprehensive qualities and vocational skills.
