Learning to care is an important aspect of children's moral growth.Existing research on young people's concern for others is mainly aimed at primary school students and junior high school students.Based on the care ethics, the author studies high school students' concern for others, describes the current situation and problems of high school students' concern for others, analyzes the factors that affect high school students' concern for others, and proposes countermeasures to promote high school students' concern for others. The author mainly conducts this research from the perspective of caring ethics.Based on phenomenological research, care ethics points out that complete care includes three dimensions: attention and motivation displacement, concern behavior, concern effect feedback and reflection.Caring-oriented moral education focuses on training people with caring abilities, and caring for others is one of the important contents of learning to care. This study mainly used the three-dimensional framework of caring ethics to conduct an interview study on seven high school students in D high school in City A in the central region.Based on interview research, the thesis first elaborated the problems that high school students care about others in three dimensions, namely insufficient sensitivity of caring motivation, narrower scope of caring motivation, less practice of care, lack of active care behavior, poor feedback from caregivers, and reflection from caregivers consciousness is lacking. The study found that high school students' caring about the particularity of others is manifested in consciousness and rationality in thoughts, and implicit and passive behavior.Secondly, based on the status quo and problems, the thesis starts with four aspects: society, school, family, and individual, and analyzes the reasons that affect high school students' concern for others. The social reasons are mainly the impact of interest flooding on the values of high school students, the negative reports of public opinion news and the “bystander effect” in the group environment;the school reasons are mainly the utilitarianization of school education and the formalization of gratitude education, teachers' lack of caring ability and solidification of the circle of communication among students;the main reasons for the family are the one-sided parental care, limited parent-child dialogue, and the absence of role models for the caregivers in the family;the individual reasons mainly include the misunderstandings of caring about knowledge and the obstacles of gender differences. Finally, the thesis proposes strategies to promote high school students to care for others from four perspectives: constructing a caring society, caring school, caring family, and caring individual.Constructing a caring society requires standardizing mass media and providing a good media environment for high school students;it is necessary to establish institutional protection for strangers so that high school students dare to care about others.Constructing a caring school needs to create a caring school culture atmosphere;it needs to be grateful education with love as the center, out of the misunderstanding of gratitude;it is necessary to improve the teacher's caring quality and be a caring teacher;it needs to cultivate students' empathy ability and enhance caring sensitivity;conduct gender education in a prudent manner to face gender issues.Constructing a caring family requires parents to pay attention to all aspects of their children's development and explore the possibilities of multiple developments;parents need to have an equal dialogue with their children;parents need to be role models.Cultivating the individual care ability of high school students requires the individual to practice care and improve the care ability in practice;it is necessary for the individual to respond to the care of others as a cared person and to reflect on the effect of care as a carer.
