In 2018,the Ministry of Education promulgated the Opinions on Comprehensively Deepening the Reform and Construction of Teachers in the New Era,which has made programmatic instructions for improving the training quality of teachers.Morality Education,the fundamental task of education,has put forward higher requirements for the team of head teachers in China,and the professional development of head teachers has become an important part of promoting the construction of the team of teachers.Based on this trend,the learning community of head teachers,which supports sharing and cooperative reflection,has come into people’s vision and become an accelerator for the head teacher’s professional growth.The researcher draws on the theory of the Professional Learning Community(PLC)to explore how to play the effectiveness of the learning community of head teachers and how to promote the effective and sustainable development of this learning community.It is of great significance to promote the professional growth of head teachers,meet the development needs of students and promote the reform of education and teaching.The study takes a long-term development of the head teachers’ learning community as a case.Through field observations and surveys,the paper focuses on the operating practice of the learning community and explores the operating mechanism and sustainable development capabilities,which provides some experience and reflection for promoting long-term development of the learning community in a general sense.The paper mainly includes four chapters.The first chapter is the background presentation of the case.Through the core characteristics of the professional learning community and the practical performance of the case,it proves that this learning community of head teachers is sustainable and effective.The second and third chapters that answer to the core questions of this research are the body of this paper.They mainly carry out a research on the effectiveness and sustainable development capacity of the head teacher’s learning community,including the reasons for pursuing the effectiveness and sustainable development capacity of learning community,the definition of effectiveness and sustainable development capacity,and the factors that influence the effectiveness and sustainable development capacity of learning community.The fourth chapter is based on the factors that influence the effectiveness and sustainable development capacity.It proposes feasibility strategy from three aspects,which are optimizing the internal operationprocess,opening up external development space,and attaching importance to the cultural creation and spiritual cultivation of the learning community,to promote the long-term development of the head teacher’s learning community.The conclusion is a summary and discusses the possible innovations and reflects on the shortcomings of this research.
