Using research methods such as literature data method,expert interview method,video analysis method,mathematical statistics method,and comparative analysis method,the top three athletes who won the men's 400 metres hurdles of the 13 th National Games of the People's Republic of China Feng Zhiqiang,Shang Shuo,and Cai Junqi Compare and analyze the kinematic characteristics of the technical process between Claremont,the men 's 400 metres hurdles champion at the 31 st Rio Olympic Games,and Samba,the men 's 400 metres hurdles champion at the 18 th Asian Games in Jakarta.The gaps and shortcomings of the foreign elite athletes' full-range skills provide guidance for improving the overall level of the Chinese men's 400 metres hurdles and improving the overall skills of the Chinese men's 400 metres hurdles.Research indicates:1.In terms of step characteristics: The different types of step rhythms lead to the overall performance of the three outstanding athletes in China in the 5th to 8th and 8th to 10 th hurdles.2.In terms of speed characteristics: The absolute gap in basic speed is a key factor for the speed performance of three outstanding athletes in China in hurdles 1 to 3,hurdles 3 to 5,and hurdles 5 to 8 which lag behind two foreign outstanding athletes.Among them,The gap is most pronounced in hurdles 3 to 5.However,from the perspective of the overall speed stability,the overall speed fluctuations of the two outstanding foreign athletes were large.3.Hurdle technology: The speed and the technical stability of hurdles of three outstanding athletes in China are different from those of two foreign athletes.Among them,Feng Zhiqiang has the slowest hurdle speed;Cai Junqi has the worst technical stability.4.In terms of stride length and stride frequency characteristics,there is a common gap between the stride length performance of three outstanding athletes in China and two outstanding athletes abroad;the amplitude of the change in stride rhythm is more volatile than that of two outstanding athletes abroad.However,the stability of stride length and stride frequency is comparable to two foreign outstanding athletes.5.In terms of step size and step frequency index characteristics,the relative step size and step frequency of three outstanding athletes in China in hurdles 1 to 3,hurdles 3 to 5,and hurdles 5 to 8 perform well with two foreign excellent Athletes have commonalities.However,during the whole running process,the fluctuation range of the relative step length and step frequency coordination is more stable than that of two excellent foreign athletes.
