The Reserch Of WuDang Tourism Indurstry Development Under The Leadership Of The Goverment

Tourism is a prospect and enormous emerging industry in the world,which has the reputation of"smokeless industry" and "forever sunrise industry".The tourism resources of Hubei are rich and distinctive.As the important carrier of tourism development strategy of "Two Mountains and a River",Wudang Mountain is famous for its gorgeous natural scenery,the ancient grand buildings,a long history of Taoist culture and the Wudang martial arts,which is known as "everlasting unique scenic spot and the best mountain in the world".It has been awarding various honorary titles for its unique scenery.Relative to a series of honorary titles,tourist industry of Wudang Mountain has the following deficiencies:As a world cultural heritage and a world-class tourism resources,it has failed to make a world-class tourist attraction.In contrast to Emei Mountain and Mountain Huangshan,its development is relatively lagging.From the Government perspective,through the field research of Wudang special economic zone authority,the expert interviews and the collection of related information,by using coherent comprehensive method and case analysis,this article finds out the main problems existing in the development of Wudang tourism industry.They are as follows:the lack of scientific planning and exploitation of tourist resources of Wudang Mountain;the one-sided emphasis on tourism economic development and the ignorance of the protection of resources and environment;the relative lag of tourism public facilities;excessive emphasis on Government-led;insufficient attention to the market;the improper roles of the management organizations;integration of government administration with enterprise and so on.The reasons lie mainly in the special economic zone Government's failure to fully understand the comprehensive characteristics of tourism industry and lacking the thoughts of holding the "Grand Tourism";the rational orientation of government functions and the lack of effective coordination between the Government and the market and failing to establish the strategic thinking of sustainable development of tourism industry.In view of this,I think,to promote the healthy and rapid development of Wudang mountain tourism industry,sustainable development strategy must be promoted and we have to clarify the objectives of sustainable development,which include optimizing the structure of tourism industry and products;promoting the development of Wudang mountain tourism scenic area;optimizing government functions to realize the harmony of economic,social and environmental benefits;and coordinating relationship between resource exploitation and ecological protection to promote the healthy and rapid development of tourism in Wudang Mountain.This requires Wudang special zone Government to strengthen government planning functions and make a scientific development plan.It is also required to improve the government services,and furnish the infrastructure of public services;optimize government functions of the organization;deepen the reform and establish the enterprises of tourism business mechanism;increase the intensity of resource integration;highlight ecological environmental protection and full excavate the tourism resources of the Wudang Mountain,in order to promote the development of tourism industry in depth.
