Is Entrepreneurship Just To Develop More Entrepreneurs?

Nowadays,the global economy has changed from a "managed economy" to an"entrepreneurial economy",and the global economic structure is facing deconstruction and reorganization,therefore the demand for innovators and entrepreneurs is increasing day by day.Promoting the entrepreneurial education of college students is the need of social development.Although studies have reported that entrepreneurship education can promote university students' entrepreneurial intentions,unfortunately,there is little consistent evidence to show that entrepreneurship education helps to create more or better entrepreneurs.Therefore,the real utility of entrepreneurship education has been questioned by researchers and educators for a long time.Based on the career construction theory,we propose that after receiving entrepreneurship education,university students may not set up business immediately or even may never be a real entrepreneur,but by developing higher level of entrepreneurial career perspective,they,as employees,would be more likely to perform corporate entrepreneiurial behavior and have positive attitude toward organizational change.We further proposed the moderating effect of participation in the business plan competition on this mediating process,and the moderating effect of business incubation to corporate entrepreneurial behavior and proactive behavior.We selected domestic and international authority scales to design questionaire,and a total of 244 effective questionnaires were collected after integration and sifting through the way of empirical research.The research take advantage of SPSS 22.0 to analyze data collected from questionnaires.And we use factor analysis,descriptive statistical analysis and linear regression analysis to test hypotheses and come to the conclusion:(1)Entrepreneurship education has positive impact on corporate entrepreneurial behavior;(2)Entrepreneurship education has positive impact on proactive behavior;(3)Entrepreneurial career perspective has mediation effect on the relationship of entrepreneurship education and corporate entrepreneurial behavior;(4)Entrepreneurial career perspective has mediation effect on the relationship of entrepreneurship education and proactive behavior;(5)Business incubation has mediation effect on the relationship of entrepreneurial career perspective and proactive behavior.The paper has two contributions.The first contribution thus is to extend the scale of entrepreneurship education research by examining its more distal effects on university students,we expand the research object from entrepreneurs to company employees;The second contribution of our study is to investigate the mediating linkage between entrepreneurship education and these distal employee outcomes.
