A Research On The International Competitiveness And Inflencing Factors Of Strategic Emerging Industry

Throughout the law of world economic development,each time it experienced a considerable economic crisis,countries will arouse some new industries.They count on these new industries to walk out of the trough,then embark on a new road of vigorous development.Strategic emerging industries are the new impetus to solve the economic downturn.Internationalization is an effective way and the only way to promote the development of strategic emerging industries in China.While the strategic emerging industries' scale and quantity continue to grow rapidly in China,it shows its competitiveness far from its scale.It's the starting point of this topic in how to evaluate the international competitiveness of strategic emerging industries and explore its influencing factors.To achieve the evaluation goal,this paper is to establish a completely logical and comprehensive index system of strategic emerging industries' international competitiveness.First,the theory of international competitiveness of industry,the theory of influencing factors in international competitiveness of industry and the theory of evaluation methods in international competitiveness of industry are analyzed.Second,based on the “new diamond model”,this paper selected 35 indicators to build a comprehensive evaluation index system using three dimensions named industrial environment,industrial support and industrial innovation.The data comes from China High Technology Industry Yearbook and CSMAR database which has been integrated and the caliber has been unified.Then using the factor analysis method,we make a quantitative evaluation on different industries,different regions and different region-industries.The results show that the international competitiveness of five strategic emerging industries is sorted by: electronic and communication device manufacturing(29)medicine manufacturing(29)medical equipment and instrumentation manufacturing(29)computer and office equipment manufacturing(29)aviation and spacecraft equipment manufacturing.The areas' order is sorted by: east(29)central(29)west(29)northeast.In each province,Guangdong,Jiangsu,Shandong are the first leading group,the province in east and center such as Beijing,Tianjin,Zhejiang,Hubei,Hunan is acting normal,while the province in west and northeast like Guizhou,Gansu,Heilongjiang is relatively backward.Next,we set the analysis in the influencing factors' path.The conclusion shows that the strategic emerging industries among different industries and regions focus on different points.The industries pay more attention to their own business and industrial environment.The regions pay more attention to their own capacity in the vitality,efficiency etc.When it comes to the more detailed areas and industries,the affecting impact of factors is more balanced.However,the strongest factor in the international competitiveness of strategic emerging industries is the industrial innovation.In any case,its contribution in competitiveness is above 60%.It can be said that to seize the industrial innovation is to capture the core of international competitiveness in strategic emerging industries.
