The Tourism Security Problems Of Thailand Under The Background Of Globalization

Thailand has its strengths in giving high prioritization to travel and tourism with good destination-marketing campaigns and relative price competitiveness;friendly attitude of Thais towards foreign tourists,preserving cultural resources(Thailand is endowed with rich natural resources and a strong affinity for Travel&Tourism-ranked and 23rd and 18th,respectively)and being active in international fairs and exhibitions.But In the Safety&Security sub-categories,the "reliability of police services" scores dropped dramatically from ranking 87th in 2011 to 98th in 2013.The Thai authorities recently have faced criticism for failing to deal swiftly and decisively with serious crimes against tourists.The modern Thailand tourism industry is faced with various global security problems including international terrorism,disease spread and transnational crimes,threatening the healthy development of the tourism industry.Study and grasp the typical forms of these non-traditional security problems and its effects,governance Thailand government to resolve these problems and management experience of travel safety issues and how to complete the operation and have reference significance to explore the Thailand tourism safety problems in the tide of globalization in regional cooperation.This paper will show the security issues of Thailand's on tourism industry.There are four issues in concrete analysis:Firstly,history and status,opportunities and challenges of Thai tourism development.Then,tourism industry of Thailand which composes of Characteristic and challenge of tourism,types of security issues on tourism will be represented.After that,the controls of the Security issues will be explained.Finally,it will analyze how security issues impacts on tourism industry and regional tourism security cooperation.it will discuss the conclusion and the limitations of this study.Furthermore,the direction of Thailand tourism development in the future will be identified.Through the study of Thailand tourism safety,this paper thinks that the Thailand tourism industry to seize the international transportation industry and the rapid development of economic globalization,information globalization and growth in India and Chinese of emerging markets and a series of globalization opportunity,let Thailand become the world tourism city".However,globalization,as a double-edged sword,has also brought about a series of tourism related issues,such as exchange rate,oil price fluctuation,the spread of international terrorism and the rapid spread of disease.Thailand international terrorist attacks in recent years have become increasingly frequent,and extended to the whole territory of Thailand,mainly to attack civilians oriented;the spread of the disease mainly infectious SARS and bird flu,dengue fever and other diseases,the prevention and control of the government of Thailand effectively,little impact caused;transnational crime has become increasingly prominent problem in Thailand,and due to the dispersion control is difficult.By participating in regional security cooperation,Thailand has also conducted relevant management coordination on relevant tourism security issues,and has achieved certain results.
