The market competition is getting more intensify since the global economic crisis in 2008,the cost of raw material and labor continues raise in recent years,which brings the results to less profit margins for manufacturing industry and result in entering a difficult period.On the other hand,the customer's requirements on the products become diversified and personalized.This makes the production mode of large quantities,high inventory unsuitable for the needs of the new era.And enterprises have to reconsider on how to adjust and change their management mode,to reduce waste by enhancing the management operations,reduce cost and increase the flexibility to code with the increasing severe market environment.Production logistics is an important aspect of production operation management.To optimize internal logistics,reduce logistics cost,improve operational efficiency and to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises is one of the important ways for enterprises to win the competition in the harsh economic environment.This dissertation takes Emak company who is an garden equipment manufacturing enterprise as the research subject to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises,which is specially focus on how to optimize the internal logistics,reduce logistics costs,improve operational efficiency.This dissertation investigates and summarizes the relevant theories of logistics management and lean logistics firstly,as well as internal logistics tools and methods.And then investigated the current situation of internal logistics for Emak Company,listed out the main problems of Emak internal logistics,including high inventory,low inventory turnover rate,low efficiency of internal logistics,excessive errors of material delivery,poor management of material supermarket and so on.This dissertation takes further analysis for the root cause of those issues,and combined with the lean logistics related theories,tools and to do the further optimized design for internal logistics management.It puts forward to do forecast base on the production demand and do optimization on production planning,to improve inventory management base on lean methodology,to do optimization for internal logistics by total flow management,to optimize 5S management,visual management and TPM to improve basic reliability of internal logistics.Finally,it summarized the internal logistic improvement implementation,and evaluated the effect of the implementation.In this dissertation,it puts forward the solutions,explores and studies the enterprise application of lean logistics theory in a typical multi varieties and small batch production through the investigation and analysis of production logistics management of Emak company,which provides a set of ideas and solutions to make improvement for the internal logistics management of manufacturing industry enterprises.
