| China's modernization is a struggle and a historical process keeping pace with the time,with the constantly development of society it`s added new content and its connotation are expanded,so far,the development of "five modernization " has become the latest content of modernization construction in China.While in the rapid development of the past decades,our country has made great achievements that have surprised the world,a series of problems which accumulated in long-term appear: the difference between regional development expand,lost momentum of sustainable development,the contradictions between economic structure with supply and demand protrude,frequent ecological environment problem and so on.All the problems we are facing,the era background,the basic national conditions such as economy enters a new normal state,all asking for theoretical innovation in modernization,to guidance the sustainable development of the new period,unify ideological understanding,get development together as a whole.And "five modernization " was born,then the relevant theoretical and empirical research become particularly urgent and necessary.Currently study on the "five modernization " is very few,especially in northwest area of China.so in this paper,Gansu,the representative province in northwest of China is chosen as an object for empirical research,to analyze the current development of "five modernization " about the coordination and the change with time and space,it`s could have a certain reference value and maybe a enlightenment for the whole development of Gansu province.In this paper,the related concepts and theoretical basis of "five modernization" are stated,and analyzing the basic conditions of development,establishing a comprehensive evaluation index system of "five modernization".By calculating and analyzing,obtain the integrated evaluation on the degree of coupling,coordination and space-time change rule of Gansu province from 2002 to2014 and each city in 2002,2006,2010,2014 four year of "five modernization",and taking Lanzhou city as an example to verify the rule summarized in provincial level,putting forward the measures adjusting to local conditions according to the rule,furthermore comparing the only study of "five modernization" in the east and central region.Main conclusions are as follows:(1)the comprehensive development level of "five modernization" in Gansu province are all showed a trend of rising during the period of 2002-2014,showing the largest increase is the new urbanization,then followed by informatization,agricultural modernization,greening and new industrialization.the coupling degree of "Five modernization " is at low coupling development stage,and the coordination degree experienced a change from extreme imbalance in 2002 into a serious imbalance in 2007,and still stay in serious imbalance stage in 2014,but the overall situation is improved during the time.(2)the study found out that,overall,both coupling and coordination degree,are decreasing with the increase of the number of system,the connection between each system also reduced sharply,and the more the number of system is,the faster and deeper the decreasing speed of connection between each system are.At the same time the new urbanization is in the core position and leading position of "five modernization" system in Gansu at provincial level,and according to the empirical validation of Lanzhou speculating that this rule also existing at the level of city regional.(3)in 14 cities in Gansu province,new urbanization and new industrialization,agricultural modernization and green value in 2002,2006,2010,2014 four years is rising,the informatization evaluation value of most city which have more strong economy began to decline in 2010,and then gradually recovered,and the trend is consistent with the entire province;In addition to the gap between "five modernization" each system is further.In spatial distribution,the basic situation of the overall "five modernization" it is presented higher in the west and lower in the east,more detailly,long dong and long nan area`s development level is weaker compared with the Midwest,and the development of long dong region is stronger than long nan plates overall.For example the evaluation value of each system in "five modernization" are generally highest in Lanzhou,jiayuguan and so on,and the lowest in Lin Xia,gan nan,long nan,ding xi and other south-east area,in individual system such as greening system,tian shui,a city in the southeastern area,thrust as a "dark horse",but overall the pattern of " higher in the west and lower in the east " has not changed.(4)in 2002,2006,2010 and 2014 four year,the coupling degree of "five modernization" of14 cities in Gansu province are at the low coupling stage,at mid-high in the subdivision level,the gap between each other is smaller.the coordination degree of 14 cities are at the stage of disorder,but they are improving with the time,there are no cities at a high level of coordination in the subdivision level,cities which run into the mid-level harmonious stage until 2014 are:Lanzhou,jiayuguan,jiuquan,jinchang,zhangye,wuwei,baiyin and tianshui,pingliang.In the space,like the coupling degree,the coordination degree`s upgrading direction are presented a "northwest-southeast" situation.(5)as a whole,the coupling coordination of "five modernization" system in Gansu province is at lower levels,and compared to Shandong and Shanxi province,it`s universal that regional internal development is not balanced,in addition,the coupling coordination of Shandong province is best,and then Shanxi,the last is Gansu,it can reflect the spatial pattern of "five modernization" in China at one level: the eastern,the most,then the middle,the west,the weakest.Finally,analyzing the driver force of "five modernization" synchronous development in Gansu province about coupling coordination changing with time and space currently,and put forward some suggestions to promote a more coordinated and sustainable development of "five modernization" : regard new urbanization as the core and guide of "five modernization",create a synchronous development system under the concept of generalized urbanization;promoting transformation by innovation,promoting development by reformation;adapt to the new normal,develop the new formats of industry,show a new posture;setting a red line of ecological civilization,adjusting measures to local conditions for
