A Comparative Analysis Of Global Cities

The world is undergoing a historic transformation.Under the interaction of economic globalization and information,cities and regions play an increasingly important role in the global context.Global cities are global economic agglomeration and scattered nodes,and a hub to develop the place with the information network as a bridge to the city network.Global cities not only stimulate the regional economic development,but also affect the global economic trends,global cities in the world.The status and role of the economy has become an important research topic.Since the reform and opening up in 1979,Shanghai has made great achievements in the development of the plan in 2020 to reach the construction of "four centers" and the goal of modern international metropolis.Shanghai Municipal People's Government also raised the development of global urban development goals in a new round of urban construction.In the next 30 years,the overall direction of Shanghai's development is to build a global city with strong radiation,innovation and sustainable development,highlighting Chinese civilization,and form a comprehensive environment side by side with global cities such as New York and London.On the other hand,Shanghai is currently in a critical period of economic optimization and upgrading to innovation-driven transformation,and faces unprecedented challenges in terms of population,innovation and culture.Under such a complex domestic and international background,exploring whether the smooth rise of Shanghai for the global city will be of important practical significance.This paper summarizes the evaluation system of the global cities at home and abroad by combing the relevant theories of global urban research.Through summarizing the author's own global urban evaluation system,this paper compares New York,London,Paris and Shanghai,on the basis of the rise of Shanghai for the existence of the gap between the global city analysis,and finally through the reference to the theory of urban development and domestic and foreign cases to deal with future development countermeasures,put forward the countermeasures to deal with the plight of Shanghai development Thinking.This paper focuses on the comparative analysis of New York,London and Paris,the three major global cities and Shanghai.By drawing lessons from the theories of urban cities such as global cities,this paper analyzes the global urban status and the history of New York,London and Paris from three aspects of mobility,innovation and humanities.After comparing the global cities with Shanghai,the common points and the gap between them are summarized,and the countermeasures for the future development of Shanghai are put forward,including the construction of a global financial force of the financial center,the development of innovative economy,creation of a vibrant,inclusive tolerance of the cultural atmosphere and promotion of the Yangtze River Delta world-class urban agglomeration and other countermeasures,with a view to the rise of Shanghai for the global city policy development reference value.This paper consists of two parts: the introduction and five main chapters.The first part is the review of relevant literatures,which explains the theories of global cities,world cities and the current research progress at home and abroad;the second chapter is the construction of the global urban analysis framework,summed up the world's important influential global urban evaluation system;the third chapter is the importance of this article,respectively,from the evaluation system of the three major global cities(New York,London and Paris),for the subsequent comparative analysis of the bedding;the fourth chapter is comparison of three global cities and Shanghai,the analysis of the current gap between Shanghai and the global cities and the corresponding countermeasures.The last part is the conclusion,the summary of this article and put forward further thinking.
