Research On The Impact Of Industrial Development On Urban Sprawl

At present,China's economic development has entered a new era of transition from high growth stage to high quality development stage,and achieving the high quality growth of the city will become the top priority of urbanization development.In the past,in the process of urbanization,the urban sprawl caused by the growth rate of the built-up area faster than the population growth rate,which is bad for the high quality development of the city.China's vast territory and unbalanced regional economic development have caused significant differences in urban sprawl.As one of the three major regional development strategies in the new era,the Yangtze River Economic Belt has a strong driving force for economic development,and it is a microcosm of China's overall economic development.This paper takes 104 cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt as an example,which study the impact of industrial development on urban sprawl during the period from 2001 to 2015.And we will discusses the characteristics and regularity of the influence of the secondary industry and the tertiary industry on urban sprawl.Then the paper will empirical analysis the industrial development of different size,different degree of spread of the influence of the regional urban spread of heterogeneity.So that we can more deeply understand the mechanism behind the spread of urban factors,which provides a reference for the transformation of urban development to high quality.This study finds that:(1)In general,in terms of industrial structure,as the proportion of employment in the secondary industry increases,the degree of urban sprawl also increases.With the increase in the proportion of employment in the tertiary industry,urban sprawl has slowed down,and this has played a major role in living services.(2)When the scale of a city is divided,the influence of the secondary industry on urban sprawl plays a significant role in small and medium-sized cities,but not in large cities.The tertiary industry plays a significant inhibitory role in big cities,but not in small and medium-sized cities.This is mainly related to the use of aggregate economic benefits under different city scales.(3)When the type of sprawl spreads,the promotion of urban sprawl to the direction of intensive development is mainly the life service industry in the tertiary industry,while the secondary industry and the producer service industry promote the development of urban sprawl in the direction of excessive sprawl.The secondary industry and living service industry are of great significance to the promotion of urban intensification.Thus,in the 104 cities of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,the extent of urban sprawl and its extent are still largely influenced by the development of the secondary industry.For those large cities whose industrial development has entered a relatively high stage and whose service industry level is relatively high,the role of the development of the tertiary industry in urban sprawl has begun to appear,and it has increasingly slowed the process of urban sprawl.This article believes that it is necessary to strengthen the rational distribution of the secondary industry,vigorously develop the service industry,and increase the concentration of the service industry.At the same time,there must be targeted analysis of urban sprawl in different stages of development.Reduce excessive urban sprawl caused by improper layout of transportation hubs and inconcentration of industrial plants.What"s more,this paper thinks that big cities should optimize the construction of big cities and improve the quality of urban development in order to optimize the construction of big cities and improve the quality of urban development.
