| Promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is a major decision-making arrangement for the Party Central Committee and the State Council to take the initiative to adapt to the new normal of economic development and scientifically plan the new game of China’s economy.This has great practical significance and far-reaching historical significance for realizing the "two hundred years" struggle goal and the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Innovation is the inexhaustible driving force for economic growth.Regional innovation capability has become the core strength of regional economic development,but due to regional characteristics,the innovation capabilities of different regions are quite different.The imbalance of innovation and development is prominent,which has seriously affected the integrated development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Firstly,based on the relevant domestic and foreign literatures,this paper deeply analyzes the current research on the evaluation index system of regional innovation capability,and attempts to construct an index system for evaluating the innovation ability of the Yangtze River Economic Belt urban agglomeration from the prefecture-level city level.Secondly,the entropy weight method is used to calculate the index weights,and finally the innovation ability values of each city are calculated and compared from the perspectives of the whole and the local.Thirdly,through the decomposition of the Theil index,the evolution trend of the differences in innovation ability of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the differences among different urban groups and urban agglomerations are measured.Fourthly,using econometric regression model to test the impact of regional economic level,regional economic structure,regional opening level and government innovation input on the differences in innovation capacity of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and various urban agglomerations.Testing the endogenous of explanatory variables and Selecting the first-order lag term of government input as a tool variable for GMM and 2SLS regression.Finally,based on the empirical research,the paper summarizes the full text and draws the following conclusions.(1)Knowledge creation is the source of innovation ability.Knowledge acquisition is the formation channel of innovation ability.The difference of knowledge reserve capacity forms the root cause of the gap of innovation ability among urban groups.The difference of innovation environment forms the external factor of difference of innovation ability of urban agglomeration.(2)The innovation capacity of the Yangtze River Economic Belt has increased year by year,showing a tendency of slow convergence;among them,the differences in innovation capabilities among cities within the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration are diminishing;the differences within the middle reaches of the Yangtze River are significant,showing Wuhan With Changsha as the center and Nanchang as the sub-center development pattern,the difference in innovation ability as a whole is increasing;the difference in innovation ability of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration is fluctuating.(3)The difference in innovation capacity of the Yangtze River Economic Belt has first expanded and then narrowed,and finally gradually converges.From a local perspective,the biggest difference in the internal urban agglomeration is the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration.The trend of the Theil index shows that the difference in innovation capacity within the urban agglomeration is significantly greater than the difference in innovation between urban agglomerations.Therefore,the differences within the urban agglomeration determine the trend of the imbalance of innovation capacity in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,which is the main source of the difference in innovation capacity of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.(4)The regional economic level,government innovation investment,regional opening level and regional economic structure have a significant positive effect on the innovation ability of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.The regional opening level has the greatest impact on the innovation capability of the Yangtze River Delta;In the regression results of the mid-stream urban agglomeration,the government’s innovation input has the greatest influence,while the regional opening level shows a significant negative effect,and there may be the effect of the central collapse;The level of regional economic development has no significant influence on the innovation ability of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration.Regional opening and government innovation investment are the main reasons leading to the innovation difference of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration.Based on this,it is proposed to establish a "one chess game" idea,promote the development of economic integration in an integrated way,build a "community of the Yangtze River Delta",promote the rise of the mid-stream urban agglomeration,strengthen the upstream "frog leapfrog effect",and undertake the development of economic belt integration. |
