The Effect Of Entrepreneurial Network On The Resource Acquisition In High-tech New Ventures

Entrepreneurial resources are very important for the creation and growth of new enterprises,and lack of resources is one of the main reasons for the high failure rate of entrepreneurial activities.Entrepreneurial network is the connection between entrepreneurs and stakeholders or resource holders.It contains rich potential resources,and it is an important channel for entrepreneurs to acquire resources.Entrepreneurial learning is a process that entrepreneurial entities actively transform their experience knowledge,acquire external resources,and strategically try and make mistakes in the current environment,and constantly innovate thinking to seek entrepreneurial resources and develop entrepreneurial opportunities.It has been studied that the entrepreneurial network and entrepreneurial learning on resource acquisition plays an important influence,however,there is a lack of specific answers to the specific impacts and the access.This study on the basis of previous studies,further explore the mechanism between entrepreneurial network and entrepreneurial learning and resource acquisition of the three,in order to provide some reference for entrepreneurship research and entrepreneurial practice.In this research,we take the high-tech new ventures as the research object,and take the relationship between entrepreneurial networks,entrepreneurial learning and resource acquisition of the three as the research themes.We will solve two problems: Firstly,what is the impact of entrepreneurial network on resource acquisition ? Secondly,how do the entrepreneurs acquire the resources they need from the entrepreneurial network by entrepreneurial learning? Focusing on the above problems,based on resource-based view and resource dependence theory,this study reviews literature systematicly,has carried on the definition of the connotation and dimensions of entrepreneurial network,entrepreneurial learning and resource acquisition and puts forward research hypotheses and constructs research models accordingly.After analyzing 213 samples,it is found that :(1)entrepreneurial network has a positive impact on resource acquisition(knowledge resource acquisition and operation resource acquisition);(2)entrepreneurial learning(experiential learning,cognitive learning and action learning)plays a partial mediating role in entrepreneurial network and resource acquisition(knowledge resource acquisition,resource acquisition operation).The innovation of this study is mainly shown at two points.First,many researchers regard resource acquisition as an intermediate mechanism of the final output,like enterprise performance and competitive advantage.There are few literatures that directly use resource acquisition as dependent variable.However,having certain resources is a necessary condition for the start of entrepreneurial activities.With the development of entrepreneurial activities,entrepreneurs need to get the resources they need at any time to maintain the necessary development.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the relationship of the entrepreneurial network and entrepreneurial learning and resource acquisition.Second,we find out the path that the entrepreneurial network affects the acquisition of resources,and verifies the intermediary role of entrepreneurial learning.Many researchers regard entrepreneurial learning as an intermediary mechanism between entrepreneurial activity and entrepreneurial output,but at the same time there is less research into entrepreneurial networks,entrepreneurial learning,and resource acquisition.Reasonable entrepreneurial learning will help high-tech new ventures to acquire resources from the entrepreneurial network,this study constructs a conceptual model for entrepreneurial network,entrepreneurial learning and resource acquisition,and discusses the mediating role of entrepreneurial learning,can help researchers better understand the relationship between the three.
