The platform of supply chain simulation competition plays as a fatal role in YM Company for developing teaching software.It is essentially required to deliver it on time,for which affects the Company development.However,project complexity and unpredictable external factors become crucial parts in time control efficiency during execution stage.Based on the case of YM supply chain simulation competition software platform project,this dissertation aims to apply project schedule control theory and tools systematically to solve the issues of schedule management.This research analyzes the reasons of project delay and evaluates the effects of time overrun.It decomposes the task list in utilizing the Work Breakdown Structure(WBS),applies the Program Evaluation and Review Technique(PERT)to assess the activity duration,and implements the Schedule Planning to identify Critical Path.During implementation stage,the reasons of project delay have been discussed and the solution of remedial measures have been analyzed to propose an improvement schedule.Based on the case study of supply chain simulation competition software platform,the synthesis of different project schedule tools and methods such as PERT and CPM may be well utilized and functioned to optimize the project schedule.This research will provide a valuable reference for YM Company to manage other project schedules. |
